Oh we have done that in our VFL/AFL premiership years and many premiers do that today, but I suppose you haven't had that experience lately or depending on your age ever?Enjoy having lost to a bottom 4 side then.
Seems you missed Vindicators point.
Anyway, it’s not like Hawthorn gave up a top 3 pick so that they could trade for a back pocket.
Nice melt.Seems you did as well.
Not surprising.
And the reference to the pick 3 trade. My my you are salty. Confused and obviously looking to deflect away from what was a pretty average trade result.
The Hawks arrogantly traded out their 1st rounded when negotiating (in bad faith) attempting to trade in a player under contract.
There's one recent example for you.
Just like recently the coach arrogantly flying in season to Perth and meeting a club captain to lure him out. Copped a bit of negative press for that did Sam. A bad look and bad management.
When your ex president is Jeff Kennett it's not surprising. The bloke who's arrogance cost the club Cyril Rioli and any chance of ever signing a Rioli again.

Without going through the ladder round by round from 04 I couldnt say difinitively, but the teams we did lose to certainly werent bottom 4 sides at years end.Oh we have done that in our VFL/AFL premiership years and many premiers do that today, but I suppose you haven't had that experience lately or depending on your age ever?
Mate teams up the ladder generally don't care about their losses against the lowly ranked teams and set themselves to play against their rivalsWithout going through the ladder round by round from 04 I couldnt say difinitively, but the teams we did lose to certainly werent bottom 4 sides at years end.
Central District are my SANFL side however, and with only 9 teams in the league during our decade long dominance of 9 flags in 11 years, im sure we probably let one slip against a team outside the 5 along the way.
Fair bit to play out yet this year, I think you'll fall out of the 8 this week and we'll win a few in the back half and finish closer to you on the ladder than you think.Mate teams up the ladder generally don't care about their losses against the lowly ranked teams and set themselves to play against their rivals

They used basically all their original 2025 hand on Barrass. 2025 1st 2nd and 3rd.Mate I hate Hawthorn as much as anyone but your original point was that they had blown all their future capital on Barass.
Yet they still somehow have a first and second round pick next year.
You can argue that the Barrass deal was bad, that is fine and I actually agree with you, but you also need to look at a trade period as a whole.

They swapped last years 1st for Carltons future 1st. Totally separate deal that still isn't finalised until the season ends.
That deal has nothing to do with the price they paid for Barrass.
Nice melt.
Hawthorn's only rivals are themselves in the modern era. No one compares mate. You are not a rival not even close. I care more about beating Essendon, Carlton and more recently Geelong and Sydney than your lotFair bit to play out yet this year, I think you'll fall out of the 8 this week and we'll win a few in the back half and finish closer to you on the ladder than you think.
Having said that, we ran down the 41pt lead we gave you and left you home in PF week last year, then wolloped you in the 1st qtr in GR until your extra 3 players coughed up 12 straight frees to get u going, so I wouldnt consider you a real rival anyway, more a spped bump we have to run over occasionally.
Doesnt really matter what you or I think though does it.Hawthorn's only rivals are themselves in the modern era. No one compares mate. You are not a rival not even close. I care more about beating Essendon, Carlton and more recently Geelong and Sydney than your lot
hahahaha I couldn't give a stuff. As I said no one cares about home and away games. Its finals and grand finals and you've been our as you say bitches starting from 2001. Yes you beat us last year but the count like it is with almost every other team is in our favour. Let me also add those umpires always help us defeat you, so you can just stop trying especially in finals. Love the umpires long may they ruin Port Adelaide's attempts at winning games and making grand finalsDoesnt really matter what you or I think though does it.
Only people that matter are on the field and as it stands your mob are my mobs bitches.
But, but, you won some flags decade ago.
Yes, you did, and the only bloke still getting a game is standing up whilst the rest buckle, some at the knees.
Your turn.
I reckon you do, or you wouldnt have responded.hahahaha I couldn't give a stuff. As I said no one cares about home and away games. But that was not your original point.
Your point was that they had leveraged their future. And yet they haven't. They still have a first and second.

I'd rather lose to a bottom 4 than be in the bottom 4 hahahahahEnjoy having lost to a bottom 4 side then.
Moving from draft position/deals to actual team performance: Barrass in isolation is playing fine. Battle in isolation is playing fine. Getting both of them was unnecessary though and has thrown the team balance out of whack. Frosty was actually pretty good last year too and Sicily/Scrimshaw seemed to work well with him.Mate I hate Hawthorn as much as anyone but your original point was that they had blown all their future capital on Barass.

Dare I say it, but the Barrass/Battle deals seem almost Dodoro-like.Moving from draft position/deals to actual team performance: Barrass in isolation is playing fine.
