Pie fans,

Wondering how confident you all were for next week vs the Blues.

You have clearly been the much better team, but as we all know ladder position doesn't always mean anything in these sorts of clashes. Carlton vs Collingwood always seems to be a good match (not earlier this year though!) irrespective of ladder positions.

I think you have every right to be very confident, but how confident are you really? Wouldn't surprise me if we found a way to get up over the top of you, we seem to be good at doing that, but in reality I am expecting a really big flogging

All really depends on what teams turn up-if we come to play, who knows, but we probably won't...

Thoughts?

As an impartial observer, I'd bet the farm on the Pies... but it's a funny game and stranger things have happened.

Please god its a flogging we need percentage. We need to hold Fev,lappen,Kouta,Lance and hate to say it Scotland and we should kick it in.

Don't know how recent this post was but - I was at the Hawthorn - Carlton game the other week and believe me, if the Hawks hadn't established as large a lead, then they would have lost.
Carlton came out firing in the second half and Fev could not be stopped.
I agree that we should win and we DO want the percentage but geez, don't underestimate Carlton.
Fev is very clever to "set up" his frees and whoever is on hime needs to be cautious and even tempered otherwise it's a 50.
We stuffed up against Essendon, we could easily do the same.

Top 4 spot plus we gotta thump you for percentage

I doubt we'd let this one get away.

Just why we are every chance to drop this one. Could they have more of a reaon to knock over their old foes since their season is already over.
However, we SHOULD win and go on with it against the roos.
Lets hope we don't need another dids goal to get us over the line against poor opposition.

Not too confident. Our form has been disappointing to say the least the last couple of weeks and no matter where Carlton are on the ladder they always have a red hot crack and have caused some upsets.

I'm never really confident about the pies. I have my worries for the roos game the folloowing week as well because they've been playing really good footy (with the exception of a half today) for the last 3 or 4 weeks

Gee, weren't we saying that two weeks ago against Essendon?
of COURSE we are expected to win, and win well, however, Carlton, like Essendon, aren't playing as 'badly' as 15th and 16th right now, so it will be no walkover, especially with our half of footy from 15mins into the second to 20 mins into the last on Friday night.

Essendon are crap. But there is Carlton.

Magpies in a canter!.

Good to get some serious feedback here, thanks guys.

We really haven't been playing all that badly this year, and if we turn up on the day we can worry just about every team in the competition. My only fear is that, like the last game we played against you, we will only turn up for a half of footy-1st half was close, but in the 2nd you blew us out of the water. Has happened to us on haeaps of occassions, including against Adelaide, West Coast, Bulldogs, Freo, Port, Essendon, Hawthorn, Richmond and the Kangaroos just to name a few-we really can't seem to put in a good 4 quarter effort, and when we do, there are too far and few between.

So I really hope we come to play, but who knows. If we turn up, we could worry you for a while, but if we don't, well, it could be lights out very early. Will be interesting to see.

Can't see the 'pies dropping this one, especially with a top 4 finish on the line. Carltons form has been terrible over the past 2 weeks, and Collingwood should have no problems disposing of us.
These sort of comments allways make me panic. Ask any pies supporter, hate it when other people talk us up we allways seem to put in a shocker.

If you've seen us play over the past 2 weeks, you'll understand why. You'll have NO problems beating us on Sunday.

I think if we get our forwardline pumped up we should win by 6 goal+. We have the power to dominate any side but we have to get it together. We need Presti back in this week to hold fev. I want that top 4 spot:thumbsu:
Go pies!

im very confident Clement will hold fev to under 4 goals, and if fev dont kick 12 pies to win by 6 goals

Yes, you were terrible in patches, but you also were good in patches. When Fev gets hot, Carlscum looks half decent. You would have beaten Poorform if he hadn't been knocked out in the last quarter by that other ******* who then kicked it out on the full. With Bitchmond, I'm sure if Fev had kicked 6-2 instead of 3-5 you would have been closer before they ran away with it.
If you get on top, you'll run over us, unless we grow some balls and actually play like we want to be top four!

Like Essendon I expect Carlton to be up for us. Nevertheless I also expect us to be up and to win reasonably well. If Rocca can beat not much and take a few good grabs then we should win comfortably but I have no confidence he will so it will be up to Didak and Buckley to kick a winning score. Fevola is our only real danger.
