Is this bump satire?
Are people really calling for Cripps, Hutch & Schoey after their GF?

Sheed is a lock now and Gaff return will push Masto out.
Confused me...thought here we go, the silly season has started?
in fairness, the thread is titled how deep can we cut...so i guess you could cut that deep if required?
But no way are Cripps and Hutch departing best 22 anytime soon.
Schoey is best 22 depending on who we play/match ups. Quality depth for another year.

No hard cuts this year as we don't have the high picks to get absolute quality.
All GF players retained unless Lecras chooses to retire
Naita,Gaff Shepp obviously as well

Mckenzie retired
Lecras - possible retiree, his choice as said by Eagles. Seems more likely to play on after surgery to wrist
Karpany - overtaken by Rioli and Ryan and with Jarrod Cameron coming too
Lycett

In
Hickey Kelly Cameron (low Pick)

Do we really need to do much else, maybe upgrade Watson to main list, unless we have a target already identified by our recruiters

Watson (rookie)- as above upgrade to main list KEEP
Ahchee - gives us depth in forward/mid role KEEP
Ainsworth OAllen, waterman, petrucelle, brander - All showed promise KEEP
Jackson nelson - replaced by cole this year, but needed to keep cole on his toes. Unless he wants to leave KEEP
Mutimer, partington, M Allen Rotham Brayshaw all have not played this year but Imo are better than some raw 18 year old low pick. Partington would get games at a lot of clubs KEEP
Olongo was always going to be project, needs to get body right KEEP
England, Burrows, Bayok (all rookies) - not getting regular games in the WAFL league so probably should be delisted, but with our own team next year will play every week. Might be a reason why we keep them to see how they perform. DELIST
Mcinnes (rookie) should be delisted as he will never be more than emergency backup however MC seem to love him as depth on the list DELIST

Just my take on our current situation

Parto is goneski imo,
We only have to move on three players.
Lycett and McKenzie are already gone.
A few rookies may follow but it might be advantageous to hold on to a couple of the fringe players to create a smooth transition to the new Reserves team in the WAFL.
As far a Parto goes, most posters are suggesting he has fallen out of favour at the club.
I don’t think so. I believe that Ainsworth just jumped the queue this season in the inside midfielders stakes and he only got a couple of games. So Parto had no show.
Also Simmo stated that this season they elected to play forwards that could play in the midfield rather than having midfielders resting forward as in past seasons.
Parto is worth holding on to as you won’t get a better pick up at the tail end of the draft. H knows how to find the ball and deserves his opportunity at some point.

Good to read a different view on Parto..seems to be in limbo.
Mutimer the same..
Yes. With Murtimer.
The club looked to delelop him as depth in defence.
He looked ok and played some serviceable games.
He is contracted so look to see further development into him next season.

Geez we have some depth .....I can see about 7-10 guys getting games at other clubs

Good problem but how long can we sustain that for

Lecras may be the 3rd.

will be needed in the new wafl team...unless really on the outer/substituted for better inbound players?

We need to take three selections in the draft, though. That'll be Cameron plus two more, presumably.

So Lycett's exit is cancelled out by Hickey's arrival. Mackenzie retires. Delist McInnes and Karpany. That's fine if we just draft the three players but if we manage to get Kelly, we'd need to free up another spot. Have I got that right?

McInnes is a rookie so need one more.

These are the guys on the main list that are still uncontracted

Lewis Jetta
Luke Partington
Matthew Allen
Mark Hutchings
Malcom Karpany
Mark LeCras
Brendon Ah Chee

Hutchings is rumoured to have triggered an extension so may be signed

At least 2 of these guys have to go. 3 if we get Kelly. Karpany is a lock to be cut. Personally I think Lecras will retire.

As someone else said - given our picks are potentially late picks any cuts made will be minimal. Me thinks - Karpany, McKenzie (ret), & ????McInnes, Burrows from rookie list for a first effort. Might need one or two others to ride off into the sunset but all said and done - not a lot of slicing and dicing.

Anyone else find it strange that WC havent announced their delistings yet? most teams for it a couple days after they finish...

We try and trade our delistees first. Give them opportunities to go elsewhere. I dont think we like to finalise our list until we know exactly who comes in either and then announce them all in one hit.

This is pretty much exactly the way I see it. Only difference is I'd pay Mutimer out and cut him.
We must keep M.Allen, Partington and Watson for mine...I'm not the biggest fan of upload_2018-10-19_7-26-6.png either.
