W1 we can win away against any of the top three, but wobbly KPF and wobbly KPD says we probably won't, despite generating ample opportunities and losing the FK count: same old, same old.

W2 we should win this at home against any of the likely opponents - with an "it's a toss up" wildcard in play if it happens to be the Crows: same old, same old.

W3 away, we are reminded again (no redundancy) of the true cost of an unwarranted undeserved coaching contract extension: same old, same old.

W4 same old, same old.

When we finished high or finals bound in the past it was usually off the back of playing teams like North and WCE twice...we struggled against top 8 teams....it was a false economy

Interesting that so many are absolutely sure that we will fail in finals this year.

There are a few important differences from previous years.

Hinkley not in the box so not driving gameday strategy (many would argue our undoing in previous finals)

Different set of players that form the nucleus of the side. (Butters, Rozee, JHF who tend to stand up when the heat is on)

I'm cautiously optimistic that we surprise a few in finals this year.

This week is huge. Looked like we are getting back to our best v GWS. Play well and beat Freo comfortably I reckon we can win it all. We'll flog Richmond and should finish 2nd if Collingwood do us a favour and beat Lions. This midfield is going to dominate the AFL for years. They will win us a flag at some stage, just a matter of when.
