Fair call, I don’t particularly like the scapegoating of certain players all the time.
Boak wasn’t terrible but just didn’t take his chances. Many in the same boat or worse.
I am going to have to disagree with you on this one.

Taking your chances is one of the hallmarks of a great player.

You make a play when needed. You kick the goal to stay in it or go in front. You work so hard that a certain opposition goal is nullified. You put your body on the line or drop back into the hole when needed. You take a huge contested mark to break the pressure. You kick the winning goal after the siren.

We didn't really have those types of guys. Gray was that. Wingard was that. But in this squad, we have a fair few guys who can take chances and win games.

This final series we will see if the young cream rises to the top. In that way, it is very exciting.

Why are we playing Jed McEntee every week when we could still be playing Robbie Gray. I'd play Robbie Gray at 40 over him.

We have been a good side at home so far this year (bar the showdowns).

Losing top 2 spot will hurt us and i think straight sets is seriously on the cards. It will be another unwanted notch on Hinkleys belt if we do. Worst 13 game win streak team ever? Id have to say we would be comprehensively unfortunately.

That is correct, last night virtually sealed our fate. We needed Collingwood to defeat the Lions so that we had a chance of a home final. We now have to win two games and hope the Saints beat the Lions in the last game. If we do not finish top two we either go the Gabba to face Brisbane or Collingwood at the MCG. Most likely it will Brisbane at the Gabba.

Collingwood at the G is an easier game at the moment (especially without Daicos and possibly Moore) than Brisbane is at the Gabba.

Wouldn’t be against losing to Freo. Our best shot is beating Pies week 1 and a home prelim vs Melbourne.

We could then likely have Brisbane at the G on GF day.

But if we win both our last two games, and either Brisbane or Collingwood (or both) lose, we'll be equal on points, and our superior percentage places us above them ..................... oh wait!:whistle::madv1:l

We can't afford to be flirting with form. Go out to win every game from here.

No doubt calculators will be out next Sunday if you knock over Freo with a decent margin tomorrow and we knock over Saints in a close one next Saturday, a percentage gap of 5-6% to decide top 2 could make things interesting lol

Think its more likely 8-10 %. No chance
