What a bunch of bogans! :p

pfffft please... Slayer isn't bogan music.... thats just ignorant. That's like saying today's top forty music is good and substantial.

It's a good soundtrack to release the fury & disappointment of defeat to.

Hatebreed is also good for this purpose.

Carn The Dockers!!

Who hasn't punched the shit out of a punching bag whilst listening to Angel of Death at one point in their life
Rock on!

Ease up NiGHTFuRY, I'm just yanking your chain. :thumbsu: Although I've never even heard of Hatebreed. I prefer a bit of Tchaikovsky or Al Jolson. :p

Slayer & Tchaikovdky... 1812 Overture & Angel Of Death. Songs to smite smart arsed Eagles fans who can't name anyone else in there team apart from Judd, Kerr and Cousins to.

Hatebreed hail from NYC and combine the grit of Pantera with decent Hardcore. It's about love of brother (ie fellow Dockers fans & smiting thy enemies - whoever we play this week) It can get your engines going if you like that sort of music.

Slayer are just Slayer. If you get it, you know what I mean. They're awesome.

Family Guy is kick arse as well....

Carn' Dockers!!!!

Too bad you live in that shithole Rockingham, we could be friends :(

Too bad you live in that shithole Rockingham, we could be friends :(

oooohh.. trying to bait me I see....

A oceanside house by a clean beach is a shithole?, Living with heaps of POMS and KIWIS is a shithole?... Clean air is a shithole? No massive traffic flowing past my suburb is a shithole? then I'll happily live in a shithole...

Have you seen Freo town after dark.. Not Safe at all.. unless you like getting glassed by some fiend on ICE (not a Ben Cousins joke intended) or have the ability to defend your self like 10 chuck norris's rolled into one..

East Freo... always hit by mini cyclones and odd smells from the port. Still a nice place as well as I did go to school close enough to there.

How do you know we don't know eachother already?

That's it, you've convinced me, I'd rather be hit by cyclones, suffer the odd smells AND get glassed than live near Poms and Kiwis!

I suppose it's feasible we already know each other, unlikely though.

well.. to be honest I'm first generation Aussie decsended from English and various European stock, so Rockingham is quite a cosy fit for me. White socks pulled up, whining about the weather no matter what it is, and sporting your favourite English Premier League teams shirt when not wearing Dockers colours is like normal down here. Kiwis love there rugby so they dont really care about AFL or Soccer, which suits me personally fine..... just don't go out with there sisters unless you want a fat lip..;)

Rockingham also has a a mullet quota that would put east Freo' to shame....

Dude,..... believe me in this tiny microcosim of the greater metropolitan southern suburbs of Perth - the most boring city in the world, we may know eachother......

You make me laugh

Hail Legitmatic

But in the end we're all Dockers supporters... so we share a common goal and excitement when we win.

The mullet quota excites me but from what you've described, good old Rocko is even worse than I've thought it to be, but hey, we ARE all Dockers supporters and Rockingham is still South of the River, so no complaints there!

Dude... mullets are a secret power source.. eg Samson from the Bible. If the Dockers grew some mullets we may win some games:eek: !!!

Did not Farmer kick haeps of goals sporting a timeless Mullett...?

Chuck Norris has a mullett and look where it got him:thumbsu:

... plus throw in some Henry Rollins attitude to toughen us up as well, and to teach Dessie not to lash out with his fists, but to react with verbal witty pithy comebacks and home truths when insulted by the lowest slime on earth, an eagles player.....................

As an admitted bogan and freo lover I think we most definitely need to sport a few more, great look and would undeniably raise the Dockers skills to near superhuman levels, snaps on the opposite foot tight on the boundary 50 out would be a regular occurance no doubt.

OK... This thread isn't about you two OK...

As you initially asked, How do I feel?
I thought we were going to get a towelling tonight - Missing Farmer, Johnson, Black, Schammer and basically Browne - It wasn't going to be pretty.

What saddens me more is that we put up a fight for most of it; but the Umpires (so cliche') were sh!t. I thought through out the whole third term. The average AFL player earns around 200,000 dollars. I wonder just how much it would have cost to smack an umpire in the head and whether or not it would have been worth it. They were appauling and I can safely and ashamed to say that after sitting through the whole Umpire bullshit course and being accreditted with it (Arm injury kept me from playing and a student needs cash some how!)

What hurt me even more was to learn that Peter Bell's birth Mum was at the game and it was her first AFL experience.

Finally what hurt me even more was the shocking skill/drive we had in the third term. Kicking across our defensive 50 and not having it hit a player on the chest. Only to see the player jog moderately to chase it over the boundary for a throw in. There was no sprinting, There was no diving to save the ball merely a cold glare at the player that kicked it "to" him.

Sure there are excuses but they wanted it more... and thats what Truely hurts

Yep I take back what I said last week about our skill level being no worse than other teams. It was shocking tonight for supposed top 4 aspirants. I hope it's just a confidence thing and we'll snap back after a win (hopefully) against Melbourne.

I remember the incident you're referring to and I made the same comment to the people I was watching it with. Seemed no urgency from (McPharlin was it?) to chase that ball from Dodd. To be fair though, diving to knock the ball back in play in your defensive 50 probably isn't the smartest move.

For the most part though I couldn't really fault the boys' endeavour tonight - our intensity was up from last week and some of the gang tackling was brilliant. We were just let down by the worst display of skill I've seen from the team since early last season.

Hurt even more when it happened a second time asbout 30 seconds later.

The first half was frustrating because there was no reward for the endeavour shown, due to poor disposal. I wondered then how long they could keep that up. Then when the umpires chimed in in the third it was like the final straw.

It was horrible to watch- particularly since the Weagles didn't play particularly well either- just well enough to put us away.

I think you'll find that the skills in the first two rounds were just as bad as the Derby, but the opposition was better so showed what good disposal is all about.
I've only been to one live AFL game in the last 4 years that didn't involve Freo and it was last year Eagles v Sydney (had to go for work) and was blown away by the quality of the foot skills of both sides. Really put Freo's skills into perspective for me.

I feel that the team is often an ill-disciplined unruly mob. There have been glimpses of good play but something really needs to be done about team discipline. Not just the obvious things like 50m penalties and the reports, but the discipline to play your guts out for 4 quarters. We need some players to stand up and try and win the game. They are waiting for each other to do it.
