Watching Coburg over the last couple of weeks he has been the one who has impressed me the most and i assume would fill that mid sized forward in the Porplyzia mould we seem to lack.
How far away is he from being ready to make an impact?

As long as we require the likes of Cotchin, Deledio and Martin to rest up forward with results and Edwards, King and Nahas keep playing their role, O'Hanlon is light years away!

That's not true, the last 4 players you have mentioned have all had bad games this year..The only way this kid can put pressure on those senior players is to keep kicking goals then his chance will eventually come.

We've barely had an injury all year and the team is playing good football in part because we are so settled.
We won't be bringing him in for the sake of it!

but would you say we could play better?

YES we could .. won't be O'Hanlon who makes us play better though.
A winning combo is a good combo.
Don't get me wrong, his time will come...but he's not ready yet. We seem to won't to latch on to a new player every few months and pump his tyres up...seems O'Hanlon is flavour of the month this month.
King would be the likely player to make way .. I'm certain Dimma is hellbent on keeping him in the 22.

King just got into some good form so hes a lockright now, Nahas was pretty good aswell loking forward to seeing O'Hanlon though looks a likely type.

Having first year players is pretty par for course for richmond the last few years. Conca, Batch, Grimes, Ellis, Morris in the last 2 years alone. What we would give to be a team like Collingwood/Geelong who have been tough teams to break into the last couple of years. their players get a few more games at VFL in the belt before the AFL.

We are getting there though, in years past I reckon we'd have seen Arnot and Elton by now

Size is something that he needs to work on.

Injury could see an opening. Has played a couple of very nice games at Coburg, but wouldn't think there's a spot as yet

Very much looking forward to seeing how he develops

Those 3 only rest up there so much because we lack a classy mid sized forward or 2 so wouldn't say he's light years away at all.

We rely on our mids to rack up the football and kick a lot of our goals to win and compete in matches. Not sure that will be sustainable long term.

Quite right, just needs to work on his fitness over the next few weeks with extra sessions put into his schedule. The fitness will help him with defensive pressure and leading, also get into the gym for a bit of bulking over the next couple of weeks.

Been a ripper at Coburg, but remember he was picked up in the PSD and is yet to have an AFL pre-season. If he doesn't get a run against GWS I doubt he'll get chucked in at all this year. If he keeps it up though he would have to be a shoe in for a decent amount of games next season.

He had a pre-season with the Tigers. PSD is only a couple of weeks after the National Draft. I went to a few training sessions last summer and I can assure you I saw him out there.

Continued good form would put his name up...right now he's probably had one really good game, a month at around that level would certainly push him up the queue next time there was an opening

Well he had half of one then :p December wasnt it, just before the Christmas break? Remember we had McCarthy training with us, and he and Addam Maric stayed behind for the USA trip since they weren't officially on the list.

You called this one early UTG just like Maric. Hopefully this one works out the same way. :D
