So Nick, Didak and Fraser will kick 40-50 each, Rocca will kick 70, Tarrant will finally live upto his potential and kick 60.. O'Bree will make all australia with all your other midfielders... McGough is another star.. Cloke is a star...
I can see Collingwood kicking 40-50 goals a game next year.
Collingwood will go the same way as St Kilda post '97. The Magpies have already peaked.

Don't think so.
St Kilda fell away not based on talent but a pathetic club culture. They were happy with 2nd, Collingwood isn't. With powerful figures in McGuire and Malthouse at the helm, this won't happen.
Rocca, Fraser, O'Bree, Tarrant and Nick Davis were all underdone. I doubt any of our footballers (except Buckley) have peaked.
I wasn't saying individuals have peaked, i was talking about the team. It's all over, hope you enjoyed the (short) ride.

It's only just starting. The team will only mould better together as it gains experience. As a team we are 3 years off our peak.

Believe me, it's not as scary as you'd like to think. Just because you are runners up this year, it doens't guarantee anything in future years. You go on about St Kilda's pathetic culture making them go down after 97 but your apparently superior culture has delivered you 1 flag in 44 years, the same as St Kilda.

Even though we have only won 1 flag in 44 years, (2 in 45, it's a selective stat) we have always (apart from 1 bad era) up there when we have lost Grand Finals. We are consistently the most successful club going around.
Our culture was a big reason why we won 2 finals and ran the best side of the modern era so close.

Hang on a sec, before you were bagging St Kilda for being satisfied with second. All of a sudden "being up there" is good enough. I personally think you will finish about 8th next year.

Of course it isn't good enough but having said that I was basing this contention on the St Kilda 1997 analogy you drew. Our club culture dictates that we don't fall away, St Kilda's does.
Write us off, we like being written off at Collingwood. A big reason why we went well this year.
