How great clubs do it - its all about the team

So our club traded 2 legends for very little in return, of course we are all very disappointed to see Mitch and Lewis running around in other colours. But the reality is by letting them go almost for free so they can further their careers or earn a retirement package is a sign of great respect by our club.

The two great teams of the last 10 years Hawthorn and Geelong have both traded/let leave some of our Champions at very 'cheap' prices. We do this because they are such great servants of the club.

it is this attitude that makes clubs like us and Geelong the destination clubs.

Yet the media laud Geelong for it, while hating on us. Whatevs, ya pack of clowns (Slobbo, et al).

You are right.......but it still feels disrespectful at the same time...
