How hot can it get?

It didn't feel that bad, i went walk about at lunch in Rundle Mall. It didn't bother me until:
  • The "air con" in our work stopped working and started and stopped all day.
  • I get home and our house is hotter than the cab ride home from work
  • My poor doggy who already has a heart problem is panting her brains out and her heart will not stop beating so fast and hard.
Apparently thunderstorms, hail included is expected around Cleve/Kimba areas... Such a disgusting thought.

Should be in Northern Adelaide by about 1215ish.

Can see very regular lightening strikes now towards the North West.

deodorant can just exploded in my car and smashed my rear view mirror and windscreen.

**** sake

Just took myne out of the car (as well as just about eveything else) so my can doesn't pull the same trick.

I hate this heat. Bring on the cooler weather - that way it'll be football season :D

Is there any other capital city in the world that cops this sort of heat? Maybe in India somewhere.

Phoenix does. They put a big honking city smack dab in the desert. Bloody ridiculous.

Also I think Baghdad and Riyadh (in Saudi Arabia) get pretty damn hot. I knew a guy who served in Iraq and he remembers it getting up towards the 50C mark some days.

Drove down the freeway this morning to get a new windscreen. lose my airconditioner, the car starts beeping?

Over heating light comes on.

Radiator blew up.

Ive lost all faith in god

ive been to cairo, aswan, luxor and abu simbel. theres a sahara over there that ensures no relief

i was out that the valley of kings in luxor one afternoon where the temperature got to 50 degrees. that heat was pretty evil

Worst thing about it is the whingers, temp is pushing 50 degrees and there is still people complaining about public transport, yeah like any other city in the world wouldn't encounter problems with public transport when experiencing record high temps like this.

We gotta all pull together in conditions like this.

I agree with you there! They think we're the only state that public transport is shutting down in the heat - apparently some trains and trams in Victoria have been cancelled because of their heat wave as well.

The rail network is in meltdown here - really.

One train cancelled every 5 minutes. Phew~!

we had 150 train cancellations yesterday!!.......but the trams are generally pretty good

Melbourne rail commuters are set for another horror run home on Connex, with 198 cancellations and services suspended on three lines.

Power shortages, buckled rail lines, faulty trains and extreme heat has forced the beleagured rail network to halt services on sections of the Alamein, Williamstown and Craigieburn lines.

Luck for those waiting for trains, it is only 43.6 degrees outside at the moment.

I wonder how many trains will be cancelled by the end of the peak?
