deodorant can just exploded in my car and smashed my rear view mirror and windscreen.

**** sake

Some of a beatch - thats some bad luck.

I left a half a carton of orange juice on the back seat and it exploaded today. Now the car stinks of orange juice and the car seats are gross so on the weekend i have to get some carpet cleaner.

But you win. Poor luck dude.

odd how we are complaining about a heatwave

has anyone here been out to the middle east?

how about going to live in saudi arabia or iraq? 49 degrees there every day in summer.

their solution: wear a jalibiyah or agaal to complement with your shemagh

kapisch?

Not the most reliable source ever, but wiki places the average summer temperature between 27 and 43, so it sounds a lot like Adelaide. That said, their hottest day is over 50 celcius. **** me.

pretty hot at mine, yesterday under my veranda i had a check of the temp and it was at 50degrees and the day before it was 47 degrees:eek:

just went to maccas there was absolutely no air con.
the bright lights combined with the windows and all the heat from cooking was incredible and i was in there for 4 min the people working there looked terrible! :( it was like a sauna!

I'm sitting in an airconditioned house with a cold beer in my hand and I'm still sweating and feeling sticky. This is horrible.

Call me crazy, but you're probably in a pretty good spot compared to most.

Spent 4 hours yesterday in full protective gear sitting in an un-airconditioned fire station waiting for the pager to go off for a bushfire.

thank christ it didnt in my region, hot enough without a fire let alone standing near a firefront in 42+ degrees.
heres hoping we get through the heatwave in better shape fire-wise than Victoria.

Hell even the aircon at my joint is struggling (mind you I've got a split system which is IMO the most useless airconditioning system ever created)

We're thinking of getting a split system.
Can you tell me what you think is wrong with it? Would appreciate your comments.

Nice cool breeze wafting through Melbourne ATM...

we have a split in the lounge

i have been trying (unsucessfully) to move that air down a hall way

its all too hard and the house still remains hot, i've even put a sheet across another door way - stupid hot house :(

You know it's hot when the orange juice is exploding.

It 11.10pm here in Glenside - i live next to Burnside Village - and there's a relatively cool breeze blowing, all the windows are open and the hot air is being pushed out. Recommended if you can tap it.

Does anyone else find it disturbing that we are being partnered with Victoria and being deemed 'The Southern States'

ie. The southern states are enduring a heat wave.

yuck.
