Jimmy Bartel was always going to be the one to choke Gazza out of the Brownlow. I personally thought that both would miss out because Ablett and Bartel would take too many votes from each other. A great result from a local Geelong kid from the Geelong Football League Club, Bell Park.
In fact both are local kids with Gary Ablett coming from Modawarre in the Geelong & District FL.

Chapman played a couple of really great games. He did poll 15 in our own BF B&F so it is not unexpected that he picked up a few votes in the Brownlow.

Chapman tends to poll well; he finished in the top 10 last year (9th I think?) and seems to attract the umpires eye a bit. Not surprised he got a few.

Chapman is a gun and in our top 5 players. He's had an interrupted year through injury missing several games twice this year and this has affected his fitness.
Expect the "nugget" to have a blinder in the granny.
My tip for Norm Smith medal. :thumbsu::thumbsu:

A good tip it is too.

No one should be surprised about Chappy polling well. I don't think he'll ever seriously contend for basically the same reason as I don't ever expect Cornes or Ablett to win it. It's a fact that guys that have less to say usually poll better.
