It's 3 hamstrings this year for Sinclair now. The first two were in game and the third was when he was on the verge of returning (3 weeks ago now).

I love to get behind the club as much as the next bloke, but there comes a time when enough is enough...
Sinclair is about the 250th best player in the afl. Who cares.

Mismanagement or not Sinclair hasn't helped us any closer to a flag nor will he.
I was very critical of Sinclair when he played as a forward because I thought his form didn't deserve selection. When he went down back though it was like he was a completely different player, his defensive work was good (not that it wasn't good as a forward but it was good in a different way), his field kicking improved and his speed really helped us break the lines and push towards forward 50. If he was fit I wouldn't mind him taking the spot of Williams at the moment, he hasn't been that great since coming back into the team. What are your reasons for disliking him so much? Can you actually give any reasonable points to back up your claim?

He's got the hammies of an old man and he hasn't even played a game... except maybe this one.

What about when he played as a defensive forward v Hawthorn and turned it over time and time again in the 2012 QF? Has anything changed? His kicking was rubbish before he got injured and somehow he's developed in to our best 22 player? Funny that. Happens with every player on the injury list.

What a load of rubbish, how about you read my post next time. I am not talking about Ben Sinclair as a forward, I am talking about how he has been since switching to defence. I'm not sure if you understand this but kicking skills can improve, it doesn't always happen but it can. In response to the bolded, I rated him during last year when he started playing defence, that is why I rate him now.

Is Rocket actually accurately assessing Freeman's injury here?

He has had repeated assessments on one pre-season injury which have been incorrect. I doubt, like many fellow supporters, that Rodney's assessment of 2-3 weeks will be true and correct.
Well we'll have to wait and see, however, you're still yet to provide me with one example from Rocket's Injury Update where he was wildly incorrect with his assessment.

He has not, as you have implied, been providing updates on Freeman's preseason injury throughout the season (seeing as there hasn't been anything to update us on...) until recently when he said that Freeman was nearing a return. There is no reason to suspect that he wouldn't have returned yesterday if he hadn't injured the other hamstring.

Its actually just farcical, massive review/cleanout required.

This isn't just bad luck.

Ok. You're right. I give up. What is listed on the club website and what Rocket says are two different things and should be considered not to come from the same entity.

Rocket always tells the truth.

Mate you quoted a post of mine responding to another poster about the Rocket's Injury Update which comes out on mondays, and he said that they are bollocks (I'm paraphrasing). I said they weren't - I am actually genuinely interested to watch those 2 minute videos every monday because they are more informative than anything else the club puts out. That's all I was saying.

Don't make me out to be the villain here, you're the one who keeps harping on.

A lot of is stage managed withlame PR strategies in place.

No surprise that right before the VFL is to kick off the twitter account tells us Freeman is out with a niggle, then the game starts we get distracted and the language used is about conservative management of a young player, so not to feed what is now a widely spread thought of mis-management and give hope of an imminent return. Then we are strung along for a few weeks.

Rocket's Injury Updates offers very little in terms of valuable information. What did he say that we didn't already establish by VFL onlookers or by reading the club website injury list?

Well how valuable the information is, that's a separate point and probably subjective. You could argue that no information about a football club is valuable. However, I certainly get some reassurance out of it. It should be said that most people don't go to the VFL or read bigfooty.

Regardless, the original post was about the accuracy of his video updates. There is a misconception that he is often incorrect in these updates: if you actually go back and check, he is often spot on.

Sigh.

You said you found his updates informative.

Anyways. Injuries are being mismanaged.

I do. For example, Rocket just told me that Freeman injured his other hamstring, which while not great news is probably better than him re-injuring the same one (I guess, I don't know much about hamstrings).

Perhaps it means that at only 18 he already has not one but two ****ed hamstrings. Whatever he said it is not good news. It's not what you want to hear about a high draftee picked for his speed.
