I haven't heard anything in the news... Anybody know anything?

He was meant to be on the Footy Show last Thursday, but Sam reported that he was re-admitted to hospital, was vomiting, etc?? Have not heard anything since that.

TOM Lonergan was home and feeling better yesterday, after being readmitted to hospital on Thursday with dehydration.

The Geelong defender who had his right kidney removed after being injured in the round 21 game against Melbourne, was released on Tuesday, but was back in hospital on Thursday after severe vomiting.

Tests cleared him of any more sinister complications.

His manager, Anthony McConville, said: "He's feeling good, so … hopefully he keeps improving from here.

"His parents are still here, looking after him, so it's been a massive effort for them. His brother flew down from Cairns with his wife and their child."

McConville said Lonergan hoped to soon start promoting the Zaidee Rainbow Foundation, which urges organ and tissue donation.

That's better news :)

Apparently he was at the VFL game yesterday. He went in the rooms before the game and the club organised a vantage point for him to watch the game from.

Did anyone notice someone holding up his jumper in the rooms after the game when Leigh Tudor was being interviewed?

ohgod. he looks... so skinny.

I'll second that. It is scary how much weight the poor guy has lost. He really does look like a rookie. 11kg is a load of weight.

I highly doubt the poor guy will ever play at AFL level again.

I really hope he does, but i don't think i would risk death to play AFL (regardless of how much you love the game).

Good luck Tom! :thumbsu:

Ohgod. That woman.. so hairy!!

Anyway, Newman did a good interview I thought. He could relate ("i'll show you mine, you show me yours") and let him tell his story.

Its been said before but i'll say it again. All the best Tom :thumbsu:

One of the few times I have appreciated an interview done by Sam. Not only was he able to relate to the injury but he carried Toms lack of media experience and unease, in disucussing his injury, a little as well.
