agree with this, only thing that iritates me more than WC fans are our our "world is against us" fans.
 
Sad news. Don't care about the media. It just sucks that some of these guys go down that path. For any ex-player it could be expected they might try this or that at one point. 75 pills is a lot though. I have no idea why anyone would want to deal in drugs, let alone a respected athlete.

I hope he pulls through along with the others that are struggling, which ever colours they have donned in their lifetime.

I like how freo fans get so much satisfaction out of this.
The mentality must be "we can't win flags, let's find some way to bring everyone else down to our level"
I honestly could not care less what the players (and in this case ex players) get up to. Obviously I don't condone it, but I sleep easy knowing my team is successful.

What I don't get is why he still sharehouses. Drugs or no drugs, if you haven't set yourself up after being on a pretty good wicket for a few years then the whole thing almost seems a bit wasted.

Really??? Where the hell did you read any "satisfaction" from a Freo fan in this thread.

We don't find ways to bring others "down to our level". Your club is the one at the lower level with all the issues. We are merely pointing out your history of players associated with drugs and the media bias with channel 7.

Pffft Culture.

As nice as that is to believe, I read an interesting article the other day (if I can find it, I'll let you know) which intimated that the media's relationship with their subjects on goes well beyond what is seen in interviews and said in articles. Basically it made clear that when a journalist criticises something, it is because a pattern of behaviour has appeared that deserves criticism, even if that behaviour hasn't been reported on previously. This was about politicians, but I'd say it applies across all forms of journalism.

So essentially, when the media has slated Freo, it's because Freo's operations have been so shabby over a period of time that it has deserved criticism.

Lately I don't think we've seen anywhere near the criticism we'd copped during the Connolly/Schwab days, so I think we're on the right path.

Kelvin, WCE are obviously a club with great onfield accolades, you resultantly have experienced the champagne culture that inherently comes with such success. It appears a growing number of players/ex-players from "your" club have turned to substance abuse during/after their careers with WCE. This is not uncommon. Many people who have experienced the ultimate successes in professional sport fail to reach those highs naturally ever again and, sadly, turn to chemicals. What is tragic is that you consider yourself a supporter yet you trivialize the suffering of "your" champions, the men who made "your" club successful, in some lazy jibe, as you have in your above post.
Fremantle have never won a flag and if winning one means I will become as insensitive and arrogant as you have so perfectly become then I'll be having another wooden spoon, thankyou.

Must be something to do with the amount of west coast threads started by freo fans.
Have you noticed freo fans talk about west coast a lot, yet west coast fans rarely talk about freo?
Makes me wonder. Obsessed much?

In those previous years to walk away with one premiership, must be dissapointing.
The talk at the time was a dynasty, off field culture was never sorted until the AFL stepped in.
Geelong have the dynasty, their players were united, and only one guy has been caught with a very small amount of coke.
So you can have success without the excess, as an opposition supporter Im glad WC didnt get that dynasty, as a fan of aussie rules footy . Im sad for anybody involved with hard drugs.
