Could have gone to 2021 but at the time my internet was giving me trouble and I could not be ****ed even trying to make sure it would work. Went to the gym instead of trying to get tickets. I could have if I wanted too really. But it was a blessing in disguise that's all I'll say. I did miss out on a cracking Grand Final and my first All Victorian one. But as I said it worked out good in the end. 2008 would have been epic but at the same time watching it on TV was pretty cool. At least you get to see everything. The AFL website charge $1500 a ticket and you're sitting right up at the top of the G pretty much last row or close to it. It's pretty special the day though. As a footy fan we should all get to experience it at least once in our lives. But the cost would be too much for some.

How many have you been to?

Some notable finals I've been to which were cool was Eagles vs Pies in 2007 and 2018. 2013 Dockers vs Swans prelim. Pressure and supporters of Freo were through the roof. Hawks vs Port 2014 Prelim.

Would loved to have been at the 2013 Hawks vs Cats prelim.

I think I would we be one of a small group of people, mostly due to covid, that was able to witness all 3 of our recent flags, 2017, 2019 and 2020.

2020 my daughter handed out one of the medals which was a very proud Dad moment.

I was going for the West Coast in 2015 although I thought they had almost no chance. Shuey summed up their whole day in the first qtr. He scored the first goal. Then instead of hand balling off to a team mate who would have waltzed into the goal square with no one around him he shot and missed. He could have Ran it in himself to get the eagles off to a two goal lead. Other end, goal. That was the story of the first quarter. It was about 1.5 to 5.0 or close to it. Darling dropped a sitter in the 3rd too when they were coming back into it.

Eagles got spanked.

Since 1983 I've only missed 1994 (was overseas) and the covid one's. Even went to the VFL Park one in 1989. Was a lot easier getting tickets in the 80's. Would queue overnight for standing tickets inside the MCG walkways back then. And it obviously helps having worked at the G for over 30 years. Favourites apart from North ones are Dogs in '16, Richmond in '17, Collingwood '90. Always my favourite day of the year.

Which ones?
I was a small kid when i went to my first one, i grew up with a friend who was a Richmond supporter 1972, 73, 74, then finally got to see Geelong in the GF in 89, 92, 94, 95, which saw disappointing losses then cried like a baby in 2007 when we won, it's all been TV since then...
