Geez there are some stingy, whiney bitches in here
If I wanted to drink booze and get smashed on it, I'd do it at a pub after the game, especially after a good win. I don't like to bust all my money on booze at the game when you have all the time to kick back and drink it afterwards.

dont bowl there

I go to the pub before the match, usually have 1-2 pints then nothing at the game. I dont need to be drinking to enjoy the football.

Because not wanting to pay $7 for half a cup of average piss is stingy.
No exaggeration there of course

I pay 5 bucks for one beer which is poured into a reasonable size cup. They actually grab a beer bottle and pour it into the cup so we know we are getting an entire beer. 4-4.50 bottles of beer at the Shed afterwards, and if you're drinking at home or on the way to the footy before hand, you'd probably end up spending under $50 on booze thru out the day, which isn't much at all.

I fail to see how 6+ midstrength drinks is under the category smashed. (only serve midstrength at Subi)

If your getting smashed of 6 beers, then you must be having some cheap nights out.

Day games are full strength.
And in Melbourne we have bars who will gladly serve full strength beers or spirits throughout the match (Cougar Bar / Locker Room / AFL members Bar)

Its grrrrrrreat.

A counterie at the Barwon Club before heading down for a couple at Lamby's before the game then a beer/qtr and maybe sneak down to Lamby's at half-time for some critical analysis. Oh yeah then back to Lamby's after for a celebratory before heading back down to the BC to watch the replay. This is a routine that has evolved over many years and has proven to be a sure-fire winner.:p

What would you know about Melbourne prices fryingpan?

When I go out I spend $30 on 12 beers, 50 is a waste. Most TD beers are about $6-7, spirits are $7 and up, and its just Carlton or some shyt.

I'm in Melbourne a lot ... however I wasn't referring to Melbourne specifically .. although like Americans, you Vics think the world revolves around you

You mean when you go to in town you spend $30 on 12 beers? Umm.. surely you mean when you buy beer from the bottlo right? Cos if you're consuming 12 beers for only 30 bucks at either the footy or in town, then you're nothing but a liar. :thumbsu:

None.

1. I'm not paying $7 for half a cup of swine
2. I'd rather focus on the game than gat smashed, you get smashed at the pub.
100% agree. I got drunk during the 2005 grand final and i cant remember much of the first half, and the overall experience is scetchy.

I believe i cant cheer and booooo as well when im drunk :p
