I'm in Melbourne a lot ... however I wasn't referring to Melbourne specifically .. although like Americans, you Vics think the world revolves around you
Yeah, because the world revolves around Adelaide, doesn't it?

You mean when you go to in town you spend $30 on 12 beers? Umm.. surely you mean when you buy beer from the bottlo right? Cos if you're consuming 12 beers for only 30 bucks at either the footy or in town, then you're nothing but a liar. :thumbsu:
2.50 pots at my local joint the Eureka. Let pissed up there and then go to other joints.

2.50 * 12 = 30. Wonderful thing maths is.

So you start at the same pub every weekend? A bit of variety mate  And if you go to other joints, that would mean you'd spend a few more bucks on booze wouldn't it? If you want to have a big one in town and go to more than ONE place then you have to be willing to spend 50 bucks minimum, and if you do that a couple of times a month then it's really not that much.

None, as I usually have to drive back to South Gippsland.

However, when the Hawks manage to scratch it for a win, I will usually grab a box of Carlton's and have one or two during the drive home while my mate hooks in a little harder. We do the bottle cap Trivia etc and then really get going when we get home.

Ok I'm a uni student in Geelong. We do Happy Hour at the Max which fluctuates between $1.50 to $2 beers. Probably do about 10 there. $20.

Next we go to 4play. $6 cover charge, $2 beers, $4 spirits. Same price at Room 99 as well. Statik has cheaper spirits and more expensive beer. Probably slam back the equivalent of $20 there, so thats about another $45-$50.

Taxi back: From $0-$20.

So that's about $70 for about $30 beers, little bit more if you do some spirits but not much.

Geelong is really cheap. Great nights ensue most of the time.

That is pretty cheap but what I was saying was that Richo83 says that a night out only costs him $30 because "$50 is a waste" I mean I'd be happy if I spent 50-60 on booze alone, then there's the cab to get home and food thru out the night, so I fail to see how he can get absolutely tanked, have a great time and get home safely for only $30

Different places, but as ripitup said, most places are pretty cheap, the most expensive pots here are 5, and that's seen as a ripoff. Most places charge 2 for Red stripe. Maybe three for others. Added to the fact that I live in the city and don't have to catch a cab, most nights cost me 30, maybe 40 if I go spirits.

So all up, including alcohol, cab fares to and from wherever you may be going, food thru out the night, entry fee into clubs and/or pubs, you spend $30? Geez well if you say so.

Don't take a cab. As I said I live in the city center.

And I don't eat out. Only places open at night are maccas, KFC and dominoes, plastic shyt.

So all up on booze I spend 30, 40 on a big night. I get free entry into Eureka, free entry into room because I know one of the bouncers and the owner, and free entry into most of the pubs.

Don't go to statik or foreplay because they're shyt and cesspools of drugs. No thanks.

Yeah but do you get tanked for $30-$40 bucks.

I've spent $36 on 6 Heinekens and I've hardly slured a word.

That's because you paid 6 for a beer. For shame.

But after 12 beers the average guy would be a little tipsy. For 32 I can buy me 8 spirits, after 4 tequillas and 4 vodkas, I'm a little tipsy.

But I don't go out to get drunk.
