White at best is a 3rd forward . Injuries didnt help but when you line up with Cloke Reid White we look a bit better, again personally Stefan Martin would have been better get than White. When White was at the Swans It Was Tippert Goodes Reid/ White or 2010 Cloke Dawes L Brown

I didn't know that Stefan was on the table when we picked up White. The Lions can't have liked him.

When I heard Buckley say that we need to stop looking at what we "had", and start looking at what we "have", I thought I'd put them side by side to see just what difference there are.

Presti not being replaced is the major stand out. Keeffe I believe will play the Leigh Brown role this year, and they will have White as second forward. Although White didn't have a standout 2014, I reckon he will be o.k. He will be as reliable as Dawes was in our premiership year in any event.

Had we compared last year, Keeffe would of matched up with Presti, who is left very unmatched in Marsh now.

Our younger kids will be a lot better than the young kids we had back then, but in return, we lack the number of hardened bodies that did well to take a lot of the hits and knocks in the season, before the young kids took over.

I believe the top 26 comparison looks not too bad. I have high hopes that players will take that next step up this year. After 26, 2010 beats 2015 for age, but 2015 beats 2010 for talent. Something we are all pretty well aware of anyway.

I feel that players like Williams, Young and White, are not as bad as some make out they are. They certainly need to keep proving their worth, but just with some of the replays I have seen since years end, I see these guys do some good things. Just need to do them more often. Like for example the Carlton V Collingwood game, Young was bloody good in that game. Drop offs can be attributed to niggly injuries sometimes. Certainly in hindsite, those same niggles were apparent for the 2010 mob. A LOT of the players from 26 - 47 just couldn't get on the park. Highly rated Rusling in his final year, under age talented Blight, Barham and Adkins all disappointed, as did Fraser. I have higher hopes for Grundy, that's for sure. Has a bit of fight in him.

That Sidebottom guy sucks. Totally not best 22 lock.

Pendlebury, Swan, Cloke Reid, Sidebottom are clear best 22 and would get a game at any club. This group is half the size it should be.
The rest are at various stages of proving themselves. Those that have shown enough to be selected on performances every week without ever being in the upper echelon are Goldsack, Brown and Toovey.
Those that should play every week because they are close to being at that level and have real upside are Elliot, Williams and Broomhead with Witts, Grundy, Seedsman, Langdon and Frost at the next rung. Elliot will be very good and move into the first group IMO.
Fasolo needs to pull his finger out. He should be in the first group by now.

The rest have flaws or require development with judgement reserved on Varcoe and Greenwood.
