I'm trying to find out, how many people on here are going to subscribe to Foxtel, now that they have acquired 88 Home and away games per season over the next 5 years?

Already had it. Is good value for keeping my daughter entertained and has enough to keep me entertained when I choose to watch it. Was a bit miffed about the prospect of no AFL but held firm and probably wouldn't have cut it off anyway.

i had austar prior to moving up to melbourne and wasn't planning on putting it back on because from all reports ages ago there was not going to be any footy on pay tv, i am one who is extremely p1ssed off that foxtel got back into the picture.....but to answer the question i most likely will not put it back on.

did my research and my sums when it became obvious after that friday meeting that it was going to go ahead. got angry when the deal was announced and west coast fans in the east of the country were bent over. signed up.

installation in 2 days. not happy or excited about it- am crabby that i have to pay 52 bucks a month to see my team.

the ONLY good thing about it is that austar had a no lock in contract deal, so i can turn it off any time i like if it blows.

I got Austar (Country equivalent to Foxtel) when they put on the Footy Channel and definately will be keeping it now that they have announced the footy deal. I was devestated when they closed Foxfooty, but the new deal is almost the same except without a seperate channel.

Can't wait for the season to start, roll on the first round.

So according to BigFooty about 28% of those that DIDN'T have Foxtel are now going to get it.

Be interesting to see what the official Foxtel increase will be.
