We have a pretty good record against them , especially at home
And I'm not writing off the away game against them either (despite last year ) , as our Adelaide Oval record is better than our record at every other away ground (other than Spotless /Metricon, for obvious reasons )

Not necessarily . Yes they beat Hawthorn (but IIRC they did this recently but lost to them in Sydney). But they also lost to Richmond lol . Depends which team shows up . But much more confident of playing Sydney at the MCG than hawthorn .

We'll cream Adelaide at home, people will keep calling us flat track bullies and I will wait and see where we are at at the end of the season, as I have a feeling we're timing our run well. We were certainly better against another top 8 side today than we were earlier in the year.

I like the positivity because as the facts state we are wicked at home but I don`t think it will be the regular FTB because Adelaide are playing very good footy but we will find a way to win.

It's our first home game this year against decent opposition. Considering we've played 4 of the current top 5 on their home decks for every one of our losses this year... it's no surprise to come away 0-4. Still woulda been nice to pinch at least one of those and today's game could have been the difference in getting close to top 2 or just missing out on the top 4. :/ With 2 more away games against the current top 8 teams (GWS and Crows) we CANNOT afford to drop any home games or lose in an upset away from home (the Carlton and Collingwood games in July are gonna be a worry... especially as we historically perform like shit against these sides when we're a better side).

I put down 9-4 so it's must win next week against Adelaide. I'm hoping JackOutback is on the money and it's we're building towards finals rather than blowing our load. Marathon not a sprint type thing. Remember Freo spent all their petrol tickets last season and we were similar in 2005. It's easier for Vic sides who can get runs in their own backyard for several weeks instead of boarding planes every other week, and had we had a bit of a different fixture (say Gold Coast away and Bulldogs at home) we'd likely be 8-3 right now. Just gotta take it on the chin the way our draw has been but we're now gonna have a run of playing better sides over here and have a few away games against sides we should put away.

I'd back us against all of those teams at the G
GWS/North/Dogs are just as reliant on their home grounds as we are (and GWS have no finals experience , Dogs have a poor finals record , and North have a poor finals record against us ).
I don't want to play Sydney in Sydney, but I'd be ok with playing them in Melbourne
It's the teams you haven't mentioned (Hawks, Cats) that I wouldn't want to play at the G, but even the Cats are now questionable (in light of their loss to the Pies)
