How much better do you feel now that the AFL has issued another 'oopsie'?

And for all of the 'well you wouldn't get the game overturned by a court', which is probably true, the real benefit of actually doing something about it was to set the narrative- i.e. that this was happening, and that we wouldn't just cop it any more, so that the next time it happened there would be attention.

The legal avenue would have been silly and achieved nothing.

What you were hoping happened without the lawsuit. It was one of the biggest stories in the AFL this week.

And to answer your original question - I actually feel better about it now they publicly acknowledged it. The AFL has admitted that more than 10% of our last 37 they have made a blatant error in the dying moments that have cost us wins in a one score game. I hope we get one more like it before the finals.

I actually don’t feel anything. I wanted the win and would have been elated, but the AFL coming out and saying the umps missed something can’t change the result. It doesn’t make me angry, sad, or happy. It’s just a very stoic feeling. We move on.

It's not even the next time it happened since the goal.

Glad that the club hasn’t been totally quiet on this.

360 was a little critical of Silvers putting out his subtle but whingey tweet.

And then Nicks appearing on the same show mentioned both “ensuring the club being treated fairly” (or similar words) re Silvers and then also corrected Gerald W who had mentioned us being on the receiving end of a bad call “a couple of times”. Nicksy immediately corrected him and said “it’s more like 4 or 5 times”

Can oopise's be intergrated into the ladder?

Perhaps can be worth 1 point?
There’s no way to know what Rankine would have done if he got the free kick. He may have went back to take a shot and the siren could have went which means he couldn’t go off his line on a bit of an angle. He could have kicked a goal, a point or even OOTF. You just gotta accept mistakes are part of footy and get on with it! It’s life. Shit happens!

I like to look at it from a point of view of there’ll be a time soon where there’s an even more important moment where we’ll get the rub of the green,” he said.

it would be nice if he knows something told to him by the AFL that there will be an umpire even up in a close game to come. There really needs to be a manipulated result tha gets us 4 points to make up for the 4 we were robbed of.

Just waiting for the square up from the last time, or the time before that, or the time before that, or the time before that...
