That would be about as useful as Micronesia challenging the United States of America at the International Court of Justice.

And for all of the 'well you wouldn't get the game overturned by a court', which is probably true, the real benefit of actually doing something about it was to set the narrative- i.e. that this was happening, and that we wouldn't just cop it any more, so that the next time it happened there would be attention.
It's not even the next time it happened since the goal. The legal avenue would have been silly and achieved nothing.
What you were hoping happened without the lawsuit. It was one of the biggest stories in the AFL this week.
And to answer your original question - I actually feel better about it now they publicly acknowledged it. The AFL has admitted that more than 10% of our last 37 they have made a blatant error in the dying moments that have cost us wins in a one score game. I hope we get one more like it before the finals.

Glad that the club hasn’t been totally quiet on this. The legal avenue would have been silly and achieved nothing.

Can oopise's be intergrated into the ladder?
Perhaps can be worth 1 point?
There’s no way to know what Rankine would have done if he got the free kick. He may have went back to take a shot and the siren could have went which means he couldn’t go off his line on a bit of an angle. He could have kicked a goal, a point or even OOTF. You just gotta accept mistakes are part of footy and get on with it! It’s life. Shit happens! Can oopise's be intergrated into the ladder?

Shrewd...I wish our club would be like thatChris Scott getting on the front foot, trying to avoid an over-correction this week.
This puts the debate to bed - even the best run clubs make public statements to try to get better umpiring treatment. Maybe especially the best run clubs.
I like to look at it from a point of view of there’ll be a time soon where there’s an even more important moment where we’ll get the rub of the green,” he said.
it would be nice if he knows something told to him by the AFL that there will be an umpire even up in a close game to come. There really needs to be a manipulated result tha gets us 4 points to make up for the 4 we were robbed of.
