Sometimes you have to pick your best team regardless of form.
I'd probably give Jetta another run in the VFL so he gets some km's in his legs, but I'd play him the week after regardless.
I reckon Jetta is one of those types that is always going to play better at AFL than VFL. It's almost like he treats the VFL with contempt.
I thought Campo was exposed big time, he needs to go.

Every team looks "slow" when they are behind... we made Melbourne look slow in the first quarter because we had all the momentum and kept getting our hands on the ball... when they grabbed back the momentum in the second and third quarters, they made us look slow... that's footy...
Melbourne are very much a momentum team as well, when things are going well for them they look like champions and when they arn't they're chumps. We grabbed momentum back in the last 5 minutes and won.

He goes missing a bit when the midfield is down but he's the type of player we need to make the most of our gun forward line when the midfield is on top.

The quicker i see the demise of JJ the better, he gets it, can't do anything with it, one of the prime candidates the topic of this thread is exposing.
By the way im loving the winning but i feel we are punching above our weight. Last year we had around the same amount of close encounters but were on the other end of it. I scared we will turn into a richmond by finishing 8th-9th and get the worthless picks. I hope they defy me but with hirdy gone next years lloyd entering the 30's with fletch and lucas kicking on it's going to be tough.

Yeah a nice ball here and their but opposition players run off him with ease and he doesnt have the run in his legs anymore to give off then run forward and create another option like Stanton, Winderlich and Peveril do.
JJ aint flash in this area aswell as does Hird struggle with this now adays but he more than makes up for it.
How long do we persist with this, we left it til 6 second left to get over the line last night against a rabble.

He has to make some sort of effort in the VFL before he gets a game . Fitness wise he isnt ready yet anyway.

That would be a nice forward trio, one other potential benefit is it may free up Monfries for I wonder if he is tring too hard rather than doing his normal stuff.

Do you think any of them will be able to play in the midfield? Are they all just pure burst players. More a sprinter then a stayer?
I'm hoping the three of them along with Dempsey will develop a 'big engine' to go with their explosive pace. Something similar to what Licker has done.
I've heard from a reliable source that jetta and gumby won't play in the 1's for the rest of the year

Lovett, Daveys, Jetta, Dempsey, Windleich are not slow gee add them to Murray Lovett, Houli, Watson, Stanton and Monfries that does look a nice midfield with Laycock and Hillie in the ruck with Lloyd and Lucus up forward

We aren't that slow. Give us a year and we will be FAST. Davey. Lovett, Jetta, Stanton, Dyson, NLM, Dempsey, Houli, Reimers, Monfries and possibly Reimers.

Stanton runs all day, but he is not that quick, Monfries is actually pretty slow, great skills though.

IMO we have too many passengers who can't do anything attacking and even less defensive. Like MJ, JJ, Welsh, Campo...
Also I hate whoever gave Lovett the ANZAC medal because ever since he has been too arrogant and flashy for his own good and McPhee is great but is possibly the dumbest player ever.

why do people keep putting campo down? 17 possys in just 60 mins of footy is pretty good and not one of them was turned over.
the guy we should be looking at is jj. cannot believe people put him in the best players, just because he had 23 touches doesn't make him great.
looked very slow on friday night and reckon watson,pev,and nash are all in front of him at the moment.
the only reson i would drop campo this week would be because he is due to play his 250th aswell, as jimmy.
but i think everyone would agree that jimmy deserves to have the night to himself after all ,all his games have been with us.
but i would bring campo straight back in next week for his 250th.
Hird would prefer to win his 250th than have it to himself.
