If you read the article below by this IDIOT, check out how he says that Adelaide have control of their destiny and the Roos don't because the Roos are depending on other teams losing, yet he states that Adelaide will be in the final 8 if Collingwood lose....

So aren't both teams relying on teams to lose???

ADELAIDE has the most valuable asset for a team chasing a place in the final eight - control of its destiny.

The Kangaroos do not. The 11th-ranked Kangaroos (9-10) need teams around them to lose to improve their position.

They have a golden chance from 7.10 tonight at Colonial Stadium to drag ninth-placed Adelaide (10-9) back to the pack.

This is the classic ''eight-point game'' - an elimination final before next month's AFL finals.

If Adelaide wins the Kangaroos face missing the finals for the first time in Denis Pagan's era that from 1993 made their club the AFL's Team of the 90s.

More relevant to Crows' fans is the expectation that a win will have Adelaide finish Round 20 in the top eight for just the third time this season - if eighth-placed Collingwood loses to top-ranked Essendon.

He is a disgarceful journalist and often doesn't get his facts right

He is a Port supporter but never writes about them when they lose.

He should go back to New York where he was for ages.

There is hardly a single decent print journalist in Adelaide.

He was shocking from the start! He is Geoff Roach's Yes Man at the Advertiser. Roach brought him back from New York in 1993 and made him Chief Football Writer and was brief was simply to be a ****stirrer.

His first article was all about how "the SANFL is dead" and that Football Park should be renamed "The Nest", lol!!

Granted, his Fos Williams book is good stuff, but even then he got one of his stories wrong and was legal action was taken against him.

OK, here starts the lesson.

What you people don't seem to realise is that Rucci answers to sub-editors and editors at The Advertiser who (and I know this first hand) mainly want positive stories about the Adelaide teams, especially the crows. I have a close friend who now presents sport on Channel 7 and used to write for The Advertiser with Rucci. He was always complaining about the restraints placed on him by his 'subbie' when it came to stories on the crows. I remember when he was involved in 'player ratings' for a crows game and was told implicitly that the total of the points given to the crows players must add up to a total which on average would give each crows player 5 points.........no matter how bad the team may have gone.
All I'm saying is that, before you fire a reporter down, remember that they may be under instructions to write positive, condascending crap so that the adoring SA public continues to buy The Advertiser and keep the shareholders happy.

ps. the article made me sick.
