I agree about the stupid news paper.

not sure about a strategy to help reinvigorate the state however.

Hahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!!11 ****in hell man, you've got me in stitches here!
Look, its a struggle to find anything to talk about when it comes to South Australia. That parts that aren't desert are:

1. Vineyards
2. Radioactive Desert
3. Adelaide
4. Shark infested.

The least you could have done is liked my post. Bah.

I can tell the difference for sure. But that's not why I was being saracstic. It's been done to death and it is boring as batshit. Every city has their pros and cons. End thread.

It's not that I don't know. It's that I don't care that I don't know.

Should we close thread? it's not fixable is it?
yet you still continue to post.

a mod not only derailing a thread but actively trolling it.

good to see Moderators keep some form of conduct up

As a South Australian who doesn't live in Adelaide my concern is that it's leaders are obsessed with trying to match it with other big cities in Australia and the world, the city of Adelaide should have a max population of around 700,000 with the regional cities taking up more size, we will always be a small state, get used to it, the expansion of the Greater Adelaide has been North - South which has created logistical problems with South rd which is not big enough to carry all the traffic. The entrance into Adelaide via Glen Osmond rd is a disgrace, if a city like Bakersfield can afford to elevate freeways why can't Adelaide, take the Freeway from the tollgate up over the top and down to Greenhill rd and be done with it, but you know what? it won't happen because the latte sippers from the eastern suburbs won't allow it.
The major tourist attraction Adelaide has is the climate, do they sell it?
Just did a speed read of Downers column, what piffle, this bloke has no idea, build 5 star accomodation, pretty much admits that SA is racist too, but what the heck all of Australia is anyway, tourists won't come here, big populations shouldn't be here, the car industry should be moved offshore, smaller is better for SA.

South Australian desert is ******* spectacular, do mushrooms in the middle of the Simpson Desert and you will never look at the world the same way again.

Wikipedia says Adelaide already has around 1,200,000 people.

How exactly do you foresee 500,000 people (and their jerbs) up and moving to vastly smaller places?
