It's pretty clear the list isn't up to scratch
We need more quality talls and midfielders
Probably need at a minimum 1 good tall (Rowe, White and Casboult while not stars have improved and should improve further), and as many as 5 good midfielders (we are already bereft of depth and need to plan for the pending departures in the next couple years of Judd, Carrazzo, Scotland - already gone, and likely also McLean and maybe also Simpson)
Our run home is scary and we could well win just one or two more games meaning we could end up with say pick 3 if we finish bottom 3
I'd argue it is not wise to use tat pick on a tall as talls take time to mature and unless you have a cast iron guarantee there's always risk in taking a tall. Better to use FA to get proven talls
Say for example then we get Frawley. Yes he mightn't want to come bec Melb may well go past us as a side but for the sake of argument let's say we get him via FA
Then we use pick 3 on a midfielder
Then we trade for picks to secure more midfielders
Herein lies my Qn
What pick would we get if we traded these players now :
Warnock
kreuzer
Garlett
We need to trade one of these rucks. Elevate Wood.
Would Warnock give us pick 15 for example? And Garlett give us pick 25?
If so you take mids with picks 3, 15, 25, and 21, and if we chose wisely we boost our midfield almost overnight
Plus get Frawley
