Hello I just want to take some time to show you how your team can get some wins. First get the ruck tap to a contested midfielder who shoots off the handball to an outside wing runner who penetrates the ball to the half forward flank near the 50. He collects ball then he can turn his opponent inside out with candy selling and pinpoints a pass to a contested marking power forward, if he spills the ball, have a crumbing small forward at his feet who can then pounce and snap it through for a sausage roll.
Another way to do it, if you lose the ruck tap and the opposition gets the ball, converge on him and get him with a holding the ball tackle, then you get a free. Use that free to spot up someone forward of the play, a real user. For example for someone at Port, we would want to get the ball in to the hands of a Chad Wingard or a Stevie Motlop or a Jared Polec, someone who can pinpoint a good pass to the next player in the line. Then when that player gets it, it might be a Robbie Gray or a Charlie Dixon or a Justin Westhoff or a Jack Watts for us, they can go back and make use of their thirty seconds but be careful not to get done for time wasting and then they can boot it through the big sticks for 6 points.
Say you get the ball in your defensive 50 and have a kick in after an opposition behind. Simply boot the ball long down the centre or the wing to your ruckman and get him to take a grab. He can then dish off a handball to a smooth mover or switch the play to the other side of the ground, run with the ball for a bit and evade some tackles, dish it off again with a creative handball and open up the space, and then hit up a forward with a smart kick in to the fifty. Again, they can then go back and kick it through the big sticks.
Be careful not to let the opposition do any of this though because it could be dangerous for your team if you let them control the play.
