I read somewhere that Centrebet is paying $2.60 for Gary to stay at Geelong. I understand that the opportunity cost for Gary to stay at Geelong is around $500 000 per year, over 5 years that’s $2.5 mil. So here’s the plan…
We raise $1mil from BF and other concerned citizens (we might need uncle Frank to help out here), and lay it on Gary to stay. Gary of course is aware of the plan and signs on with Geelong. Centrebet pays out $2.6 mil. $2.5 mil goes to Gary so he is no longer out of pocket to stay at Geelong, $100 000 is returned to ‘the investors’ (a 10% return – not bad for a weeks outlay), everyone is happy!
What could possibly go wrong??
