I've never had that luxury as a St Kilda supporter, every GF I've seen us play has been stressful to watch throughout without any happy endings.

The drawn GF was a weird experience, I was disappointed we didn't win it but also relieved we didn't lose it, the less said about the replay the better.

Ironically I followed Hawthorn as a kid back in the 80s as they had similar jumpers to my WAFL team Subiaco and one of our players Gary Buckenara went there, also the only VFL games we got to watch in WA back then was the Grand Final and Hawthorn were always playing in them.

I decided to switch to supporting St Kilda when the AFL started as I was a Tony Lockett fan and liked supporting teams that are the underdogs, supporting a successful team like the Hawks just didn't sit well with me, I would have felt like a bandwagoner.

These night time GFs seem tp take forever to start, normally by this time the GF would be over and we'd know who the premiers are.

Must be hell for the players having to wait this long to play the game.
