The saints seem to be picking up all the big name players, and i am just wondering how the salary cap will treat them. Just a guess, after they de-listed 6 or 7 of their mediocre players they are still over the cap by excess of 500 grand.

Pay some little fine and dont participate in the pre seaosn draft for next year

Collingwood will finish above St.Kilda in 2001? Hmmm....any PARTICULAR reason why?

How could St.Kilda be above the salary cap?

INTELLIGENT MANAGEMENT is the reason they are not, the same as how good teams like North aren't above the salary cap.

Want some reasons?
EVERY club pays 95% of the salary cap, so by delisting 7 overpaid players then it frees up salary cap troubles.

Senior lists are cut down in 2001.
Salary caps are HIGHER in 2001.
St.Kilda has placed TWO players on the veterans list which means only HALF their pay gets shown in the salary cap.

If you used some thought maybe you could've worked this out yourself.

But even still I am happy to point this out to you.
