Our team haven't been themselves at all lately. We've lost games we would've won 100% of the time in the past, we haven't flatracked at all this year and there seems to be a distinct lack of belief.

Additionally, the MC have been trying to * over our season from the start.

In my opinion, I feel the MC needs to wake up and realise our best 22 doesn't include Priddis and a ridiculous amount of talls, and I think we have a chance to get on a winning streak until the end of the season.

So what do we do now? Is it a quick fix or a long rebuild?

Our record in the fourth quarter this year...

Port- lost by 32pts
WB- lost by 21
Melbourne- lost by 9
Geelong- lost by 13
Gold Coast- won by 11 (edit- cheers Keys)
GWS- lost by 5
Essendon- won by 3 while ten goals down
WB- lost by 5
Port- lost by 11
Freo- lost by 3
Hawthorn- lost by 19
Sydney- won by 8
Richmond- lost by 5
St Kilda- won by 25
North- won by 15

It's getting worse as the season goes on. What is the meaning of this? Are we mentally fragile? Just getting old? Did some new pre-season program fail dismally and leave us unfit?

*We actually won the last quarter against Gold Coast by 11 points although we were out scored by 13 points in the final 10 minutes after kicking the first four goals of the quarter

Doesn't change your point though and in our last 6 games we've led or have been at least level at some stage during the last quarter. Lost four of those games

Had we held on in just the Suns and Melbourne games we'd be 10-5 and in fourth

If we address out fade outs and maintain our form through the first three quarters we can salvage the season

Remove the zone defence immediately. Play lock down defence and if you want a floating player then play a 7 man defence.
Use Mitchell as our general, change the plan to go through Mitchell as often as possible. Let him be the player he is.
Open up our attacking moves, we are to one dimensional. All our forwards lead to the same place, we never separate. This makes it way to easy to defend. The amount of times we see our two tall forwards competing for the same marks is not on, it is a very easy plan to stop. You have to separate the defenders so they can't work together.
And the biggest let down of our game plan is the instruction to handball at all cost, no side butchers possession as much as we do, the amount of times we give the ball to a player under more pressure is ridiculous. It is better to advance the ball to a contest 30-50m by foot than to give it to a player by hand who has no chance.
Real basic footy stuff this but you will find the teams that do the basics well are the teams that are high up on the ladder. Our basic skills and instincts are very sub par.

I'm still pretty bullish about what we can do. Our best is not as far away as it seems we have a bad loss like Sunday. Quite a few here even predicted it.

I have little faith in the MC and we need to make the hard call on some players but our list is fine. We're carrying too many players on reputation and when it reaches a tipping point the team goes to s**t and it makes everyone look bad.

The only two genuine stars we have are NN and JK, watching them over the last couple of years has been exciting but without them we are pretty meh! Cameos from Yeo, Shuey and infrequent bits of brilliance from Jetta haven't filled the void. We are done for this year, pretty obvious Priddis and Mitch shouldn't play in the same side, two people doing what one was doing previously, Mitch is doing his half a job a bit better than Pridda but still two blokes who couldn't run out of sight on a dark night.
With a modicum of decent drafting we could have Blakely, SPP, Sheed, Shuey and Yeo running around in our midfield, someone deserves to be sacked for that s**t. Hopefully Pridda puts the team first and rethinks his plan to play on next year.
Sorta veered away from my original point there, which is we are pretty ordinary without NN and JK.
