What does Malthouse have in his arsenal to beat StKilda? It's a simple question, but I'm tipping a tough one to answer.

Wakelin on Gehrig? I don't think they like each other, so that could be interesting. Clement on Kositchske? That will be a beauty...but I fear Kosi will do to Jimmy what N Brown did to him in that last quarter.. Then of course you have our midfield to counter.. Your responses?

I think it's fairly safe to say Kosi isn't a patch on Brown, Clement would tear him apart.

Collingwood could EASILY win this game, Saints are the ultimate egotistical pretenders.

Our only hope is that 22 St Kilda players are simultaniously struck by 22 bolts of lightning. If the roof is shut we've got no chance.

I'm tipping it will be a much closer than most think. The pies midfield is very harworking and your backline is one of, if not the best in the comp. Like I said, will be much closer than people think.

hmmmm... judging from the responses so far it seems a few of you have given up any chance of winning at all.. - I still haven't received any indication as to what Malthouse can seriously do to negate Grant Thomas' team.. surely..any team can beat another on any given day (or so the theory goes) - How does Tarrant usually go against us.. Max is in fine form.. and the media spotlight has been on Taz (and growing) against him. Many in the media have been saying Taz will be considered at year end by the coaching staff as trade bait..? (and why not, for my opinion.)

He has to fire if you are a chance. Scotty Burns plays well against us.. You will need to play tough hard footy if you are to give yourselves a chance. Licca will have to play a blinder, Didak too. It's doable - you've beaten some quality opposition already this year.

But even if Taz stands up with his usual 23 touches, 18 marks, 5 goals, i dont know if that will help.

I want one thing from Friday night, Riewoldts season over, if that happens then the result matters little

Although going on history, we should win this one. Barring rd 2 last year and rd 3 this year, this year has been identical to last year and we should be due for 3 wins in the next 3 weeks before losing our last 3.

And that's the key to it all. Nobody really gave us a chance against the Eagles. After all, they have an "awesome" midfield, which our "slow, ageing" midfield would "struggle" to keep up with. Well, somehow we did it, and there's always a possibility we will shut down St. Kilda as well. Can't see it happening, but that doesn't mean it won't. Although, what will help is if the team takes your overinflated view of themselves and simply fails to prepare properly for the match, just expecting to win due to recent form.

I'll go with the match ups that we went in last time.
that means Cloke on Hamil.

We pushed them for most of the game last time, it was just those last quarter fade outs.

no comment!
all i can say tho is that if we win it will be in a similar fashion to how we beat west coast and geelong! we will pressure ur mids and aqueeze the life out of you! but with our ever growing injury list i doubt we will do much! Your mids didnt seem phased by our mids last game so i cant see that changing!

Hey at least Guerra's playing. J.Cloke can only match up well on a handfull of players, Guerra and Hamill are 2 of them.

I guess by kicking more goals HAW HAW HAW...what? That jokes been done?

Seriously the Saints are in better form than us (not much but still better), and have a better list that is less injured (marginally less but still). The only place we have an advantage is in the coaches box. For us to win Mick will have to out-coach GT by a fair margin.

I can see that happening. i'd say the Saints are favourites but we have a show, especially if Tarrant had his knee drained this week.
