Now we have what appears to be a very heavy handed response to a security guard escorting journalists who was "argumentative" with the police.

Three days ago you would have said that VicPol couldn't lose the PR battle against the nutcase & thug alliance but they seem to be playing the wrong card every time.
Disagree, they won it convincingly yesterday. Unless there are more than a couple of isolated video they will come out on top

I agree with you in one sense, but the nutcase and thug alliance are getting all the publicity they dreamed of, and more.
None of it is good publicity and I’d have thought that 99.9% of people are appalled by their behaviour. And the ones who aren’t, are already so far down the rabbithole, if doesn't matter.

I wanna throw up
You would think the “good guys” who are upset about being called right wing extremists and nazis we keep hearing about would at least distance themselves from this campaigner and let him know he isn’t welcome with them

It's not a narrative. Facts are that NSW has had 3-4 months less lockdown than us and are on a path to freedom before us. They're doing much better than us, even after taking thee lions share of returned travellers and having the biggest population and most densely populated city.

How about you answer the question. Why are we the most locked locked city in the world?

I'll give you a start. It began with Dan covering up Cedar meats cases because of his political funding and then him not having oversight on HQ in March last year. But please, what is your answer? Why are we the most locked down city in the world?
By the looks of it, to give you something to do with all your spare time. You sure can whinge.
I love Melbourne and won’t be too much longer till we go back to leading relatively normal lives again. Won’t be the same as it was, but it’ll be lots better than the last couple of years. Start getting excited deliv.

That’s true, people need to realise that life will never be the same in a post covid world, just as things changed forever after September 11 2001 or Australia changed forever after the Port Arthur massacre, Events like these change the world or country’s forever and it won’t be the last time it happens

We all love Melbourne, wouldn't live here if we didn't, but it's been a shitshow under his watch. Hence 0000s of people leaving.
Not many enjoyed all the social and mental health problems created by his mismanagement and now our march towards thousands of deaths. If you worked with the kind of people I've worked with all my life, you'd point out his flaws (whinge) as well, until he's gone from office.

One jab, two jab, and we’re done…supposedly..
Who would of thought it’s hard to predict the way out of an unprecedented event and the exit plan needs to be flexible and change

So what if we need boosters? What’s the issue?

So like, 0.01% of Victorians have left?

OMG it's a stampede.

I guarantee you they will think they "won." They got want they wanted. I agree that everyone else is appalled, but they will be lining up to do it again.

So the “pro choice” protesters are now targeting vaccination hubs to take away the choice of those who want the vaccine?

Not one brain cell between the lot of them

This years one which was a direct result of Sydney’s one?

Not sure we can claim this one on Dan.

Last years yes, I will give you that. But not this years.

Thats the problem. If we didn't have to go through last years perhaps the population would be way more compliant.
This isn't LDF this is LDE.

Agree it’s been no party but most people will come through it in reasonable shape. Character building and all that. ( unless you lost your job, or house etc- then of course it’s been a truly terrible time). Honestly, I don’t mind if some people leave- we had gotten too big, too quickly. Now we can settle into being a good sized city. Dan made plenty of mistakes, but he got plenty right too. I’d be surprised if he doesn’t hand over to Merlino -maybe before the next election. I expect the ALP will romp it in though, with either of them in charge.

Does it matter if they think they won? They are a very noisy, small bunch of dingbats. And we will be open pretty soon, they will be back at their jobs. What are they going to sook about?

No way the population shrinks. We've lost some locals but one of the main factors to bounce back out of this is immigration.

Lol. I still can’t believe some right wingers started punching darts, sinking piss and hanging a piss at the ******* shrine, and the hysterical Murdoch press is largely mute.

I have friends threatening to boycott Sky News because they are not supporting the protestors enough

the world is ****ed

Curious to know the rationale here? Career politicians aren't really in the business of handing over power are they?

If he was a CEO of a company he'd be easier to replace. As it is, the only real alternatives are Matthew Guy, or someone else from within DA's cabinet who would, in all likelihood, do things the exact same way he has.
