Maybe Merlino's going to run in the Federal seat of Casey at the next federal election?

It's very winnable, as the ALP candidate at the last two elections has been a wet lettuce and it's only a 3% margin. Good chance that a strong candidate like Merlino could win it at the next election, particularly if the LNP continues to go ultra-Qld.

That stuffs expensive dontcha know.

You moved states, you're not a refugee
False unfortunately. The Melbourne lockdowns were wretched, I don't want authoritarianism!
You would have thought so, wouldn't you.
But here is where they've formed their Rat King.

No more of a wake up ACAB thing.

Cops are violent, always have beenz everywhere they've existed and they've always violently enforced the states wishes when they weren't just doing whatever they felt like for cash.

VicPol are bad, nobody is asking why throwing more cops at the situation hasn't worked so far, they're just asking for more cops.

You're going with time to get back to their real job and not beat up protestors, thats always been part of their job.
That's a fairly extreme view m8 influenced by American social media because they actually do have constant shootings committed by police. There's plenty of bad eggs in the Aussie forces no doubt but to generalise that they're all bastards is just childish, clear as mud?
Where you working/living at in QLD?
Brissy man, convinced the cucks at work to pay for the move and then received the qld gov tradie incentive as well. That's how ya do it, see.

You left the state because it was too authoriatarian but think ACAB is extreme and rude.

You can't have it both ways FK who do you think enforces the laws?

And ACAB is pretty much universal, cops are the violent extension of the state, and VicPol are pretty s**t aye

1. Jill Hennessy = 2014-2018
2. Jenny Mikakos = 2018-2020
3. Martin Foley = 2020-2022
4. ? = 2022-Present
Thanks but that is hardly 4 in four years. Mikakos wasn't a loss given her history.

I was really surprised when posters started to quote as technically only two with one now to replace Foley.

Merlino never stood a chance while the socialist left controlled the party.
Agree, sadly unaligned with any faction. Not dissimilar to Andrew Leigh federally, he too is quite good but unaligned with any faction.

Its funny how Foley leaving politics at 60, after 15 years, the last two as health minister in the state hit hardest by the pandemic is seen as an issue.

Retiring at 60 doesn't sound that bad TBH

Happy for you to have found something else to be outraged over.

I find it amusing.

Sure, I’m outraged than 4 more incompetent people will no longer be in government…

It’s very amusing to see Dan Ass Kissers fail very basic mathematics and seem to get their panties in a knot over it…

You know, every time I read your posts in this thread just want me not only to vote for Dan but try and get as many people as I know to vote for him too.

Another 4 years of outrage from you would make my year.

Do you actually agree with ACAB?

It’s so ridiculous and generalising IMO

I’m rapt he’s going. Whenever he speaks I get sleepy. He has that effect. But I also don’t like the way he talks down at people, like he is infinitely superior. He also happened to be my local member, so I look forward to what comes.

we see what we want to see .... he presented as someone who was even tempered, respectful, considered and reasoned when i watched him

as for his voice - ill take his softly spoken approach over the theatrical performative nonsense of charismatic types any day

by-the-by ..... know of people who went to uni with him ..... general view is he was a quiet person, liked and respected

Caucus is “meeting” today to select a deputy premier and coordinating ministers. But hasn’t Dan already picked his team?

Dan has defended picking the co-ordinating ministers before the caucus meeting, saying it was his choice to make.

I do because the cops as an institution are bastards.
You join the force you either become part of all of it or look the other way when the bad stuff is happening.

Copaganda has done a real number on public brand and you can thank Hollywood and the media for that.

I’ve only heard positive stuff from people who have worked with him. He will be a loss.

You do realise many on here won't believe you at all because there is literally no detail in your initial post?
I can confirm that Bruce pm’d me details. The actual issue (and trying to be careful so might seem hard to follow) is around a person with the same surname as Andrews wife who was convicted and jailed for fraud. He was a lawyer (de registered as a result). The court judgement was in 2000.
Trying to independent find the same article or details reveals an absence of internet available information
  • can’t easily find court judgement
  • no records of media coverage (I thought they have a field day with dodgy lawyers)
Bruce draws conclusion that there is active suppression and believes Andrews is being it; I don’t know but I do find absence of other internet footprint odd (but maybe because 2000)

Petty criminals are also bastards and worse. I trust cops above the others.

I'm more on the we'd have a lot less criminals if the majority of the money going to cops went into communties and justice reinvestment.

Not to mention welfare going directly to people instead of funnelled through job

Worth noting that Ned Flanders made a promise/prediction regarding Dan Andrews. The only problem was that he had a monkeys-paw in his basement. Resulting in his prediction being skewed adversely.

Remember kids: before making any predictions make sure your property is free from any and all monkeys-paws
