I thought it was pretty funny watching the replay. There's no way you can prove it either. He did what was necessary and fooled everyone at the time.

cant just focus on 1 thing 25 points up middle of last quater,
and we lrt it slip, ..... we stopped attacking and tried to defend the lead with ten minutes left.
goes to show you should never take your foot of the pedal & try to really bury the sides.

the kids are still young & will learn from this........ very good effort from the boys.

Excuses Excuses

Both teams are unlucky.

Dogs should have been 5-6 goals up at 1/4 time

Tigers should of held on as they were leading by 19 points with under 5 minutes to play
No, you had so many points because our kicking in was shocking for a while there, not because you had a tonne more inside 50's (as the stats clearly show) you should be happy with a draw, we're pissed off because we should have won EASILY.

That was so obvious and ridiculous. For a kick to tie the score with only seconds left to play, he should have been made to take it. Makes a mockery of the game.

Next thing you know, players will be faking injury after every mark inside 50 and handing the ball to their team's most accurate goalkicker.

This was not a 'down game' for the Dogs, we beat them fair and square across the board. We're coming back from a sweltering game in WA they have NO EXCUSES, we're stepping up, it's as simple as that. Maturity and compusure drew them level with us, we'll learn alot from this game.

But until we put a few more performances like the last two weeks on the board no one in the media is going to have any of that. They will continue to say the oppositon had an off day. The commentators kept talking up Essendon on Friday night, evn though St Kilda smashed them for all but 15 minutes and but for the Saints missing simple goals would have been 10 down at half time. The love affair for Essendon no matter how ordinary they are is staggering. On the other hand, Tim Watson bagged us throughout today. Have a look at the scoreboard Timmy - 20 goals two weeks in a row. Personally though, I'm happy for them to keep writing us off as long as we keep improving.

even though lake isn't a well known goal kicker - i know i wouldn't be complaining too much if the ball went to a ruckman for a set shot for goal.. they're usually rubbish.. paul salmon - need i say more? kicked more behinds than a prison warden

oh i seem to remember a tigers player doing the exact same thing a few seasons back... hobbled off the ground, someone else took the kick, then 5 minutes later he was back on..

everybody was burning holes in that bulldogs players back to miss that shot! :p

You should know as well as I do, as you're a Dogs fan, that Minson is a gun shot at goal this year.

what irritates me more than who took the kick was the fact that there was 4 tigers players (mcguane, thurstfield, polak and patterson) who never got a fist on the ball to spoil the mark. polak, patto and mcgaune are poor at spoiling and usually go for the mark and thurstfield was not tall enough.

Mmm interesting. What was he supposed to have done? Hamstring or back spasm? It seemed to keep changing throughout the week.
