Absolutely nothing. Nothing about that looks like a trip, and if Selwood can quite obviously throw a leg out and intentionally trip a player then Howe aint getting anything for that.

Cripps was already ducking away before the punch was thrown. Should have been a chest whack. Intentional, sure, low impact, depending on the med report, high contact... One week seems proper considering Cripps contributed to the location of the hit.

Unfortunately for Howe, this is not how it works.

In this thread, Howe has been called a "dog" "shit player" "grub" and a "faux tough guy"
Cripps has also copped abuse in this thread and he's the damn victim (flop, glass jaw etc)
Can we not have a civil discussion on any topic, without using abuse.
We know players and, probably more importantly, family and friends of players visit these forums so cut the crap.

What he did was bad, and he'll cop his right whack for it.
The AFL have a system in place to look after these sorts of things.
It's called the MRO. You may or may not have heard of it.

In my book, these things deserve probably 3 weeks.
But, based on history, it'll be 1 or 2.

I think the Fisher incident will cop the bigger suspension, especially if the fracture is confirmed.



Cripps hit: Intentional - Low impact - High = 1 match (Maybe they say medium impact which would be 2 matches but doubtful).
Fisher trip: Intentional - High impact - Body = 2 matches (If the fracture puts Fisher out for the rest of the season they might say severe which would be 3 matches)

I'd say 3 to 4 matches.
