Out of nowhere this football mastermind is the frontrunner to take back St Kilda's coaching reins, and he says he will take their call.7news.com.au

Surely anyone supporting St.Kilda eventually realises you aren't going to win your next Premiership regardless of who's coach. If the administration is a complete shambles (and it always is), the club is divided and full of backstabbers and liars (it always is, even down to the cheersquad level)... it doesn't matter who's the coach. We're cooked. They will all promise the world... but the results are never there. I'm so angry I've spent so much money over the years on the Saints, and continually see the people running the club making it a laughing stock. The nuffies always repeat the club's mantra, "We weren't going to win our next Premiership with XXX, and now we have a great coach and aadmin, we can")... and they sell us the hype... but at some stage, people get tired of the lies and BS. 100 days ago, they were telling us that Brett Ratten was the right man for the job, because of the "culture" he was building. I'm waiting for the "culture" line to be brought out again... probably in the first month or two of next season. It's laughable. What a joke of a club.
But how are the players going to respect the club when the Saints don't respect themselves and let Ross walk all over them? I suspect trading & player contracts would get a lot harder and the whole thing will blow up in their face even if his old school ways don't just alienate the playing group.Drugs aside, truth is there is no evidence suggesting The Hird was a competent coach. Still he could be a candidate.
