Better than the taxi truck driver who I just saw smack his TOLL van into the Montague Street Bridge...oops. Instead of a taxi truck he now has a lean to.

Just saw it on nightly news

Lazy day today. Finishing work early. Meet up with the Telecommunications Ombudsman for lunch. Hopefully it is a quick lunch. Rush home to pick up youngest son and niece from school. The other two sons and nephew will make their own way home. Pack the essentials for tonights game and off to see our boys spifflicate the tigers.

Yeah, like the Telstra tech who came around yesterday to my place to fix the line with no dial tone in my office.

I wasnt there, stuck at the other place. Daughter puts Tech on the line. "Says he has a dial tone, nothing wrong here?" I asked where, he said my kitchen! I replied "Very good, thats an OPTUS phone line and I know its working fine. Now go fix the Telstra line...."

Anyway, he seemed to fix the line..... eventually.

While we're on the subject of telecommunications, my iinet ADSL2+ service has de-evolved to something resembling dial-up speed. All attempts at resolving the issue is being met with comedic customer service. Which is a real shame, because they used to be so good.

Shop around Grizz. We had a few interesting issues a couple of years ago with our provider. They were good once upon a time unfortunately their service had become poor. We had techs come to the house to address the problem without actually fixing the problem.

I changed providers and now i get calls asking me if i'm happy with the service. My usual response i would be happier if i payed less:D.

Had the same problem with internet speed. Turned out it was the telephone line, no dial tone. Once fixed the internet flies.

Trying to get iinet to anything let alone respond is next to impossible.

Had to quickly dash out and pick my son up from Woollies tonight. Gee I hate the cold weather. I would normally walk around in T-shirt and shorts not long ago no matter what the weather, would drive my wife mad, she would say it made her feel cold just looking at me. Now I'm rugged up like a grandad. Definitely retiring somewhere in the pacific.

Life is just so much more difficult now. I am old and tired and feel the cold.

When I was a young bloke, my mother would send me down to the corner store with a shilling, and I'd come back with five pounds of potatoes, two loaves of bread, three pints of milk, a pound of cheese, a packet of tea, and half a dozen eggs, and a packet of tobacco.

You can't do that now.

Too many damn security cameras.

Flying up to cairns this morning with my wife for 4 days, leaving the kids behind, they have exams. Hopefully the house won't get burnt down by the time we are back. Sister-in-law will stay behind and mind the fort.

I've arranged for my dad to keep an eye out for them, come to think of it I'm more worried about him than the kids. Chance for him to get away from my mum, sneak out to the TAB:rolleyes:.

I'm at home alone in front of the computer on Big Footy still in my pyjays sipping a nice hot Chocolate ahhhh!!!!! freedom. The rest of the gang are out shopping, sports and who knows what else when the Mrs rings, "Have you taken the clothes out of the washing machine" , you need to pick up the youngest from school sports at 11.30am and don't forget to post the postal votes for the upcoming election". So much for a nice quiet time alone at home:'(:'(

Off to Wallabies v England this evening. Can't wait to hear England fans sing, "Loooonnng to-o re-eign over YOU!!! Go-od save YOUR Queen!!!"

Melbourne weather...

Your joking.

If this rain gets much harder it will start breaking through the roof! What a terrible, terrible day outside.

Did kinder duty today, my little one says I'm the first dad to do it this year, she can't be trusted but it's possibly true based on how popular I was with all the kids.
Hard life being 3 you get to play, paint, sing songs, run aroubd outside in gumboots playing with water and sand and bubbles, eat snacks and get read stories.
