As yet another relegation/escape looms, even before Wagner, Town invariably are at one end of the table or the other, no matter the table. Wikipedia listing shows since 1969 (50 years):

Just the seasons ending 74,77,78,84,85,86,87,89,90,91,93,94,96,98,99,00,05,07,08,09 just 20 of the 50 in anything like table mediocrity. Indeed the four seasons prior to EPL promotion were spent avoiding the drop to league One

Notable for taking things to the last gasp of the season, examples include winning the play off in 2012 8-7 on penalties (after initially going behind and the goalkeepers called on to take penalties) and the infamous 2013 2-2 draw at home with barnsley where at stages of the game either team was live relegated but peterboro conceded a late goal and the two yorkshire 'rivals' tanked for the last few minutes of the game. Extra police on hand for possible recriminations had to be redployed stopping yorkshire rival fans getting too friendly with each other. Good luck this year Barnsley
Even in 17 after reaching the play off penalty stage with just one regular goal in over 10 hours of football, town initially went behind in the penalty shoot out.

Heres a tip though Huddersfield . If you want a growing supporter base don't kill them off with heart attacks

Other years of note were 1994 when they built what was a trend setting stadium , and 98-03 with the club in administration. Still not a full owner of the stadium which it part owns with the super league giants. Huddersfield ONE consortium will be building a large leisure complex next door complete with ski slope. Lets hope its not another omen to repeat the slide from div1 in 72 to div 4 in 76.

My tip is they will be in the EPL in 18-19 as its now getting to the point where only a specific set of results would see two or more teams pass them on the ladder. Although thats probably happened before.
Second year up will be much much tougher for Town. But they will be richer than they could ever have dreamed of. Yorkshire is crying out for a top class club why not Huddersfield.
Leeds is a deeply tainted brand.
With three league Huddersfield championships only a dozen or so clubs have more titles in history (have included the Glory years from WIKIPEDIA for good measure)

Have a good mate who is a life long town fan and the last season he lived in england was their last appearance in the top flight (til this season) so really hope they can stay up.

Well palace did the right thing, like when they sent peterboro down:}

Wagner staying or going will probably be the big factor for them next season you'd think.
I'd love for him, Howe and Rafa to stay at their clubs and be given the right backing from owners, players and fans. All 3 are good projects to have.

I feel if they move away it could easily be a Koeman situation where it doesn't always end well.
