Bolded might just be another reason why there won't be any arrests in the US to come out of this.

wasnt there no arrests made in the US as the FBI geo fenced the USA in regards the intercepted messages from ANOM, so no external parties could read the messages, and the US cops were not authorized to read or act on any messages originating from the USA? apparently there was 15 ANOM devices in use in the USA that could not be tapped. so any intel that flows from any intel gathered from USA based ANOM phones will be thrown out of court in the future, negating any gains.

That's what they said, yes. The suggestion was that under civil and privacy rights, US agents/investigators weren't even allowed to read the messages.

No way given the FBI involvement, they could get around a defence of entrapment. They have actually supplied the means for crooks to engage, plan and execute crime.

I haven't quite worked out how all this ties in to the world's covid crisis but my gut is telling me that it does.
Anyone that thinks that the tie in with the CSK case, is because when young Bradley (Robert Edwards) was arrested in late 2016, Australian Law Enforcement lost access to their No.1 supplier of intel on some of Australia's criminal masterminds, is just making s**t up and rightly deserves the label of being a Conspiracy Theorist :)

Funny .... we missed this although we were wondering how they seemed to be making so many arrests. ;)

There's some interesting little snippets of info in this pod.

Reece Kershaw at the National Press Club today

This one's to be extradited to the US, so I'm wondering how they pinged him.

The man recognised by law enforcement authorities to be the Australian National Lone Wolf president has been arrested in Greece over alleged drug and money laundering offences.

Jordan Curry, 39, previously of northern New South Wales, was arrested at Mykonos airport last Wednesday and is expected to be extradited to the US to face allegations he was involved in an international cocaine syndicate, importing and exporting the drug.

He is also alleged to have committed money laundering offences.

It's understood Curry had been living abroad for a number of years.

Been at it for a while:

An arrest at Port Botany with mentions of the encrypted app ANOM:
A Port Botany worker allegedly passed on inside knowledge of shipments coming into Sydney to help criminals plotting to import 230kg of meth.
Pantelis Spyrou has become the latest arrest in Operation Ironside’s crackdown on alleged crime syndicates operating in Australia and abroad.

The 34-year-old was arrested at the port on Wednesday following information allegedly gathered through encrypted app AN0M, which was monitored by the Australian Federal Police and used to snare dozens of alleged organised crime figures.

But not the thought though? I am pretty sure entrapment requires that the crime would never have been committed without the influence of the law enforcement officer. The officer basically needs to plant the idea in the offenders head.

Would be pretty difficult for any of these types to argue they weren't intending to commit these crimes with or without the App.

You could be right there, I might not be as across this as I could be.

Is it the same fight night* Anthony Mokbel (Tonys nephew) was jailed for refusing to give evidence.

* is there any other fight night?

Yes, it would be entrapment if using the app was the crime. The drugs is the crime, so entrapment would have to be providing the drugs (at the least, and maybe more like introducing a buyer?), not providing the app.

possible interpol warrant given the crimes covered various countries and he was living abroad? once his identity and location were discovered then easily arrested for extradition.

Operation Ironside nicked a few more in SA.

'Further arrests have been made as part of Operation Ironside, as four Adelaide men allegedly planned to attack a fellow Comancheros bikie member.

SA Serious and Organised Crime Branch detectives and STAR Force officers swooped in on the men, arresting them early Friday morning as part of ongoing investigations.
SA Police in a statement said the ongoing review of the AN0M material by the Ironside Taskforce led to the arrests and the messages found, related to the four accused, will form part of the evidence in the cases against them.'

Latest arrests in Perth:
Acting Commissioner Col Blanch said the bust showed police were increasingly adapting to infiltrate and disrupt organised crime.

“Our recent arrests show that anyone in WA who thinks they are safe using encrypted communications to purchase drugs or facilitate their movement need to think again,” he said.

“Over a dozen people from several WA-based criminal networks all thought they were safe – and they were all wrong.”

Police Minister Paul Papalia said the government investment in police had ensured they could target drug pushers with the most up-to-date technology.

“This should send a strong message to drug traffickers that we will be relentless in tracking you down and stopping you from peddling your misery in our communities,” he said.

'Encrypted phone firm Ciphr, which is popular among organized criminals, has made moves to stop operating in Australia, according to photos of a Ciphr device obtained by Motherboard and an encrypted phone industry source.

The news signals a potential shakeup in the encrypted phone industry, which has been rocked by a recent wave of law enforcement operations. In June, Motherboard reported that the FBI secretly ran its own secure phone company called Anom to intercept users' messages. Ciphr is one of the few remaining established players in the space.
...... "We will not be providing a comment at this time," someone in control of Ciphr's media email address told Motherboard in July. The company provided an identical response when asked again last week.'

& more specifically, last week in WA:
A Ciphr phone was confiscated & Tollett did not help to access the device.

Backround on Ciphr from March 2021
:https://www.theaustralian.com.au/bu...r/news-story/33d0696a5c4d3b5574dbd6cfdfbeb0bb

'Ciphr installs software on BlackBerry and Samsung devices to encrypt communications and disable and block features such as GPS tracking, and promises to remotely wipe devices that fall into the wrong hands.

About 10,000 Ciphr phones were estimated to be in use nationwide at the end of last year.'
