john hawkes and the ingham family have split, as of mid november this year!!

this comes after there sattelite stable in brisbane had been shut down earlier today!!

peter snowden is the new trainer, replacing john hawkes later this year..

This is very very big. That is my favourite stable. Love Hawksey. Not keen on Beadman which has been well documented by me. But love the Inghams horses. I'm shattered. I know a Melbourne Hawkes forman here, will ask him when it all settles down. I'd say at the moment he would be fairly much in demand after this news has got out.

Wayne?????????

Interesting timing but to be honest,he doesnt have much left to prove.
Im guessing the Hawkes clan will train as a partnership, maybe in Melbourne?

John Hawkes was a very good trainer long before he took over at Crown Lodge.
He had a formidable strike rate in SA,loved backing his horses when they came to Melbourne.

You're kidding aren't you?

Now we'll see how good a trainer he really is.

Apart from finding horses, we'll now see him chasing jockeys & placing the horse in the right race (not bombing races/meetings with runners).
He won't have any blue bloods given to him.

Has always been a top trainer, well before he took the Crown Lodge job.
This was his choice,he's obviously still hungry.
Moraitis still has 15 horses with him,I doubt he'll lose any of his other owners.

One of Hawkes's greatest strengths as a trainer has always been how he has placed his horses. He's done this since way, way, way before he went to the chicken kings.
