According to the CFC site Princess Ryan is 187cm, which is my height (6'1.5" in the old money). However at the family day this evening I swear he's an inch or two taller than I am. I don't think I've started shrinking yet, so that makes him about 6'4". Has anyone else noticed this?

Depends when the profiles were last updated, though there's no way he'd have grown that much in a year. He's been listed at 187 for the last two years so, unless he's grown a huge amount in a year or he was wearing platformers, it's likely you were wrong. He doesn't look 190cm to me.
By the way, how was his size? Bigger than last year?

Hopefully we play him up forward in 07...
Definitely prefer Houlihan in the forward half of the ground, his delivery inside fifty is much better than it is out of defense, where he's probably a little to cute. And if he does turn it over inside 50, it will be much less detrimental than hi, turning it over in the defensive half of the ground.

I think many have forgotten that Houlihan is a gun HF flanker. We haven't been able to play him in that role because of serious defensive inadequacies over the past several years. With the defence and midfield strengthening, I wouldn't be surprised to see him in the forward half again. Like the idea of Houlihan and Gibbs on the HFF in 2007, with Josh doing the pack busting at CHF, Fev doing the leading, Eddie the crumbing, and Waite and Fisher providing alternative tall marking options. Jake Edwards will be in the mix too. Our forwardline capability is extreme. :)

No doubt Houlihan's best position is pushing up into the midfield from a HFF then linking back to deliver it to a leading forward. Some AFL coaches need to get over this desire to turn everyone into fully fledged midfielders.

Ryan is certainly the surprise (impressive) packet for me.

His height is good, his size is tremendous now, and his run is constant.

Very impressed.

What surprised me the most was I expected his voice to be squeaky, when it was actually deep.

Round One forward line may well be:

Betts Kennedy Whitnall

Houlihan Fevola Waite

Fisher to rotate with Waite.

Murphy, Gibbs, Ackland etc could rotate in and out as well.

regardless of how good fev is outside 50 (he is the best in the league IMO) he wont be ure CHF. he will be ff. kennedy is nowhere near big enough to handle big fbs like rutten, glass etc.
Witnall will play backline but if he does play forward it surely wont be a pocket but CHF.

You obviously haven't seen him lately.

In my scenario Fev is full forward and Kennedy is CHF.

Kennedy moves well and is a big lad.

In a situation where you weant Kennedy, Fevola and Whitnall in your forward line one of them has to be named out of what you would call your traditional position.

Whitnall would move more into the middle, and Fev would push up and down as well suring the games. They would all move around.
