hurls thats fine but it seems as every ess fan jumps on in defence(pack mentality) is out of control bigtime including some of the player comparisons from both sides.

Fair assessment. If I were an Essendon supporter no way I'd trade Watson. I'd do the the Hurley for Vickery trade though, but I'd be conflicted because I love the kid.

it's always hard when you have emotional attachment to your own teams player. There's some swaps you'd have to make though, and honestly if the Richmond hierarchy were offered that trade they'd do it in a heart-beat.

yes lance i would also do that trade, with hurley used as a kpd, assuming he is fit as a chb would fit a nice puzzle in the back half. vickery is also a developing into a good kpf and may be a good ruck too.

If I was incharge at Essendon I would trade Watson for Martin, but would not even consider trading Hurley for Martin, Hurley has as much scope for improvement as Martin, maybe even more seeming he is playing in a unfamiliar position, and the hardest position on the field, where players can influence the result of matches much more regularly and to a higher level.

Well having Hurley, Heppell, Zaka, Melksham, Kav, Colyer, Carlisle ect with Martin would be powerful for a decade, but with Watson you will need to replace him after 5 years, so in my opinion 5 extra years from Martin right now could be the difference for a shot or 2 extra for a flag.

Martin. IMO could be a once in a generation player like Carey, Ablett, Judd etc. This depends on Richmond improving and becoming a consistent finals side, otherwise he won't go past the Richo level. Hurley is also potentially a very good player.
