Know this has been done before, but as a pure forward (knowing that Hurley may play back during his career at stages), which player would you prefer in your team until the end of their respective careers?

Walker plays 2nd fiddle behind Tippett, Tippett would be 2nd fiddle to Hurley if they played together.
Career goals thus far
Hurley Walker
Age: 21, 10 months 21, 11 months
Games: 48 46
Goals: 51 95
Behinds: 35 62
Have you ever seen Hurley play?
If you have you would realise Hurley has played 2/3 of his career as a Key pos Defender, he has beaten N Riewoldt, Tredrea, j Riewoldt, Pods and many others as a KPD, really only got towled up by J Brown.
LMFAO.
You would play 1 of the most competitive players in the game, 1 of the most promising KPF in the game as a defender.
Start Watching him please, you may want to be educated on the topic if you are going to compare him to another player.
I could pull a ton of vision of Walker to show you that he is a better instinctive forward. The good old take a look at a youtube clip to prove my point routine![]()
Yeah I have seen him play and think he is a good defender but a overhyped forward. I haven't seen much from him as a forward to justify the hype coming out of Melbourne. I think he could be a great defender but wasted up forward.
There's this strange stigma about Walker that paints him as a lazy beer swilling spud.
Fact is he's only 21 and already averages over 2 goals a game. His stats eclipse all other young forwards and yet the discussion is always Reid v Hurley v Butcher. The lopsided result of this poll shows that Walker is seen as a rung below.
Makes no sense.
Walker will kick more goals, Hurley will do just about everything else better.
That is pretty much the crux of it. Walker is a key forward, and that's all he could possibly be. Hurley is far more athletic than Walker, and works a fair bit harder. But Walker is one of the most instinctive forwards you'll ever see. His skills are superior to Hurley's (which is no slight on him) and he knows where the goals are.
I would say Hurley has the better skills personally.
