This is interesting one. Honeychurch ran into Hurn, Hurn stationary. However Hurn had the opportunity to turn side on or move to help avoid a hit to the head.

Not a good look however i think he should get off but with the MRP trend of assessing outcome rather than action, who knows.

Hurn took a step forward and turned his body in the bumping motion. He seemed to do both of these to protect himself though - step forward to plant his leg and not be off balance and turned body so he wouldn't be headbutted in the abs/chest area.

I think Christian hates WC so wont be surprised if it's cited

There are too many Dogs players who lead with their head. Hunter, Macrae and Mclean did it multiple times throughout the game. Eventually and unfortunately an event similar to this was likely to happen. Get the kids coming through juniors now to look at what not to do going in a contest if any of you folks coach the 12-16 bracket.

The outcome is that Honeychurch ended up off the ground, in hospital, and you would think he would be doubtful next week. In the past the AFL have made a point that the outcome was more important than the action itself. Players know that when they bump they could do damage. Hurn did damage. He should get a week but probably won't even get cited.
