People living outside Australia don't consume things?

In underdeveloped countries, they consume far less energy. For somebody to migrate here for "a better life", it really means to become a Westernised consumer and put more money into the coffers of multinational corporations.

I don't understand how somebody can be concerned with pollution yet want mass immigration.

Define "mass immigration".

Myself I want compassionate, pragmatic, evidence-based help for those less fortunate.

If we also work on the issues of pollution through renewable energy, better clothing materials or better, universal methods for cleaning artificial micro fibers from cleaning water... and on and on and on... we can consume more intelligently and with less environmental impact.

Clamping down, sealing borders, worshipping fossil fuels... they're all s**t ways forward.

The caricature of the black man in the loin cloth with a bone through his nose belongs with Alf Garnett, White Australia, and Jim Crow. When was the last time you say a black dude in Melbourne with a bone through his nose?
The inanimate object through the nose is now primarily the white hipsters domain....

Pretty much every accusation of hypocrisy in this thread has come from a position of ignorance or broad assumption or both
And every response to it has been trotting out the same old socialist virtue signalling.

That's if it hasn't been outright censored, of course.

God I hate your repetitive, empty bullshit.

It's just a huge drag. Boring, asinine, and simply a waste of effort to scroll past.

Grow the * up man. Get some self respect, some self knowledge. Anything.

I'd rather not.

Suck it up.
Then leave, man. You are not taking part, you're standing on the sidelines shouting bullshit and contributing nothing at all positive.

It's unpleasant, and not in the way that you're revealing unpleasant truths, just that you're revealing your own inner ugliness at every turn.

I'll keep providing examples as I find them.

How many people on the left claim to care about global warming. If they cared so much, why not actually do something about it? Hell, even I'm vegan and sold my car to do what I can. Sure, the latter might be less achievable for many, but how many people really do something about it instead of sitting there on their high horse about 'climate change deniers hur dur'.

IF YOU'RE GOING TO COMPLAIN ABOUT THE GOVERNMENT NOT DOING ENOUGH, YOU CAN STILL DO YOUR ******* PART.

Recycle, take my own cloth shopping bags to supermarket, ride a bike for small shopping, three compost bins, only use car for long trips or when I buy heavy items, grow pesticide free fruit and vegetables, make my own household cleaners.
This is just at the top of my head as I have been doing it for years and it comes naturally.
