Society/Culture Hypocrisy of The Left - part 3

No real need. The negatives of his socialist agenda have been displayed. Between this and Kamala’s answer re funding Medicare for all on CNN these prime candidates are shooting themselves in their respective feet.
Why don't you think Americans should enjoy universal healthcare like we do here?

How can anyone hate Bernie? He is the only honest politian on either side. Harris is just like all the others playing politics, Bernie is the only one who has been consistent.

Why do you love banks and shitty healthcare systems so much?

Unless you are obscenely wealthy their system is totally ****ed even for people that are kind of wealthy.

I think you’re reading between the lines just a little too deeply. Where was my love of anything expressed?

I just don't know how anyone cant love the honesty and straight shooting of this guy. God I wish we had a Bernie here.

Quite liked that interview except for the usual nonsense on climate change. I think the interviewer should have asked more about the differences in the Democrats that prevented Sanders from standing against Trump.

But we really don't need Bernie here. They need the Australian system and values there - such as our healthcare system and gun control.

Bernie under pays his own staff :D

Low salaries + long workweeks = low pay
The underlying issue is that while the Sanders campaign’s collective bargaining agreement with its staff union sets hourly pay above $15, there are also salaried workers on the team.

Field staff earn $36,000 a year, which would be above minimum wage on a standard workweek, but Sanders field personnel say they’re actually working about 60 hours a week — for an hourly wage of $13. Long hours are typical of campaign work (you have a limited span of time in which to win the thing, after all),

Hes running it on a shoe string, 99.999% of his staff arent just there for a wage but for the love. You are a smoothed brain salary man whos never stood for a thing in his life so its probably hard for you to understand doing anything for anything other reason other than financial. The complainers will be plants from the right or straight up anonymous people that dont evewn work for bernie, guaranteed we will never see there face or we will see it on rubins show and 5 seconds of research will debunk them like that little * face andy ngo.

So anyone who complains about working for Bernie Sanders is one of the following:
  1. Operatives planted from the right-wing
  2. Not even an employee of Bernie Sanders
  3. A little "*face" like Andy Ngo
Gotcha, sounds very sane.

This is you squinting really hard. Try opening your eyes a little wider.

Follow these, and you see that there are a number of issues concerning the Robbins island wind farm project, up to and including:

- the lives of endangers species, birds native to Tasmania.
- the impact the turbines would have to the tourism industry of Tasmania.
- the backroom deals which have brought the project forward.
- the fact that the power created isn't for the nearly 100% renewable energy state of Tasmania, and an energy pipeline would have to pass through 170 km of the Tarkine, a part of Tasmania that contains numerous nature reserves and parks.

There is no hypocrisy here. You're reaching. If anything, you should be more convinced - if Bob Brown, a lifetime campaigner for renewable energy sources, is against a renewable energy project - that the Robbins Island wind farm is a bad idea.
No, the hypocrisy is the difference in attitude between Hockey and Abbott’s objection to wind farms, and Browns. Apparently the former are obscurantists whereas Brown is rational.

I’d love to know how Brown supposes wind power succeeds without being near the coast and in the habitat range of migratory birds (who tend to like wind!)

Perhaps it's these particular birds, coupled with the fact that the wind farm itself isn't to power Tasmania - being nearly 100% renewables as it is already, if the articles cited are much to go off - and is instead going to require a pipeline to the mainland going through a prominent region filled with nature reserves.

I mean, I'm not an expert and nor will I pretend to be. This just isn't hypocrisy to me.

He is concerned for migratory sea birds. The same birds that exist on every coast in Australia.

For Bernie supporters..

What happens after the capitalist wealth has been redistributed? Money trees?

What's happened since a prosperous Sweden started 'experimenting' with socialism?

He doesnt have $400 million like Obama did.

Half the people in his campaign would be volunteers, too.

Strange questions there.

Where does Bernie talk about re-distributing wealth? Im a fan and most of the videos i watch are of him, asking the American people questions like, if Australia can have free healthcare then why can't we? Or questions along these lines.

Ive also heard him talk many times of the fact the USA spends about $700 Billion per year on the military (more than the next 8 combined) and that its excessive considering the horrible wages and working conditions in a lot of the country. So the redistribution of wealth would come from cuts in areas of excess and moved to areas of need.

Im not sure where your coming from regarding Sweden, their economy is among the strongest in Europe and they have a low poverty rating.

I also will attach this, its a small extract from an article that refutes that the nordic countries are socialist. Rather just free markets with high taxes.

If the left insists on naming a system of generous government benefits combined with a free market democratic socialism, I cannot stop them. That seems unnecessarily confusing since the government is actually running no industries other than education (and meddling somewhat in healthcare). It certainly isn’t socialism. In fact, the only reason most such countries can afford those benefits is that their market economies are so productive they can cover the expense of the government’s generosity.
