But the Saudis control their oil, they bought out the remaining American interests back in the 1980s.

The chief executive of the Financial Conduct Authority has admitted meeting officials from Saudi Aramco before publishing plans to water down rules in an attempt to attract the $2tn (£1.5tn) stock market listing of the oil giant to London.

Andrew Bailey told MPs that the meeting with officials from the Gulf kingdom’s state oil company, planning the world’s biggest flotation, took place in the early part of this year.

Democratic People's Republic of North Korea,

FFS.

We are Socialists, enemies, mortal enemies of the present capitalist economic system with its exploitation of the economically weak, with its injustice in wages, with its immoral evaluation of individuals according to wealth and money instead of responsibility and achievement, and we are determined under all circumstances to abolish this system!

Why Are We Socialists?

We are socialists because we see in socialism, that is the union of all citizens, the only chance to maintain our racial inheritance and to regain our political freedom and renew our German state.

Socialism is the doctrine of liberation for the working class. It promotes the rise of the fourth class and its incorporation in the political organism of our Fatherland, and is inextricably bound to breaking the present slavery and regaining German freedom. Socialism, therefore, is not merely a matter of the oppressed class, but a matter for everyone, for freeing the German people from slavery is the goal of contemporary policy. Socialism gains its true form only through a total fighting brotherhood with the forward-striving energies of a newly awakened nationalism. Without nationalism it is nothing, a phantom, a mere theory, a castle in the sky, a book. With it it is everything, the future, freedom, the fatherland!

The sin of liberal thinking was to overlook socialism’s nation-building strengths, thereby allowing its energies to go in anti-national directions. The sin of Marxism was to degrade socialism into a question of wages and the stomach, putting it in conflict with the state and its national existence. An understanding of both these facts leads us to a new sense of socialism, which sees its nature as nationalistic, state-building, liberating and constructive.

The Nazis weren't socialists. They were a reactionary force dedicated to returning to a idealised pre-modern German nation.

You need to read Umberto Eco's Ur Fascism, medusala.

national SOCIALISM

(and why only 6 million? Why all the hate for homosexuals, gypsies, political prisoners, pow's etc?)

Because that's the magic number that the New York Times ran with, from 1920 onward.....No point in changing a fiction, that comprises a quarter of a century in the making....Rinse&repeat, rinse&repeat, rinse&repeat>>>> eventually metamorphoses into unquestioned Truth.

You make it too easy some times.

The NAZIS clearly had socialist roots. Only a tool would deny that. Then reality and greed stepped in as below.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reichswerke_Hermann_Göring

After the Anschluss the Reichswerke absorbed Austrian heavy industries, including those owned by private German investors. The cluster of steel mills and supporting companies in Linz became its most important asset. Nazi leadership regarded captured assets as the property of the state and were not willing to share the spoils with German businesses.[2] After the German occupation of Czechoslovakia the Reichswerke absorbed between 50 and 60 per cent of Czech heavy industries.[3] The pattern was repeated in occupied Poland, France and the Soviet Union. The Reichswerke operated captured assets as far from its base as Liepāja in Latvia and Donetsk in Eastern Ukraine.[4] It provided one-eighth of German steel output during World War II[5] and created a Nazi-controlled military complex that was independent of private interests.[6] By the end of 1941 the Reichswerke became the largest company in Europe[7] and probably in the whole world, with a capital of 2.4 billion reichsmarks and about half a million workers.[8]

I'm prevented from commenting on the Facebook pages of Abbott, Bernardi and Payne.

The first two in particular are "free speech warriors".

There's hypocrisy for you.

Meds needs to do an arts degree. He has no idea when he tries to delve into these topics.

I did some Arts subjects. Utter joke. Getting the questions to your end of year exam FFS. Indocrtrination piffle and taxpayer funded, indefensible nonsense

So we seriously need to have a discussion about the difference between kicking people out of your shop because they are flyering ideological posters you want nothing to do with, and refusing them service because they are gay or black?

You aren't capable of a decent discussion. Individual freedom is repugnant to sans culottes like you.

Let me guess: You want the unbridled freedom to verbally abuse them....They might be tools, but they have every right to chose who has access to their accounts.

Nope. Not socialists. Yup used Socialist rhetoric. You can sample speeches by some in the liberal party about how they are environmentalists. The Liberal party speeches and propaganda talk about ordinary working Australians too. Does actually mean much at all.

I bet meds also thinks the Democratic People's Republic of Korea is just that.

A Rose would not be a Rose by any other name.

The Russian Federation is no longer the Soviet Union either, but that doesn't seem to stop the Western MSM from forgetting that fact, when it conveniently suits their narratives.....It is NATO & the Yanks whom have trampled all over the Reagan/Gorbachev accord. Yet we don't refer to these countries as Fascist dictatorships....Go figure.

It was more than rhetoric. The state controlled everything. Even if industry was left in private hands the party decided what was to be produced, what wages were to be paid, what dividends were allowed to be paid etc and if you didn't agree your business got taken. It wasn't just wage control, they instituted price control as well.

You know what other government regimes demand state control of everything?

Fascism.

You guessed wrong.

Government control is not socialism. Did they empower workers? Did Workers control the factories?
