Conservatives think Bert is yellow therefore Asian and Ernie is Native American. So there is no need for a new Korean character on Sesame Street. They are just stirring up social media followings.
What 'conservatives'? Or is this just another one of these 'vibe' things coz 1 knob head in eleventy million people is conflating Bert as asian therefore the new character is not needed? To suit their own dumb ass narrative?

And posters on here are paying attention to such knobbery?

Ok carry on - maybe this should be in the parody thread.

I was being facetious.

They (a group of conservatives) actually are incensed that a Sesame Street character has been given the story of being of Korean descent.

That the new Korean character has so much attention or that the bigots like Matt Schlapp getting upset about it have gotten so much attention?
Ok let's track him down, I've got my pitch fork, jerry can (full!) and lighter at the ready, with ya bruh!

Honestly I saw about 5 mins on abc news about this new character, cool way to teach kids about tolerance and inclusion.

And you're hand wringing about this Schlapp guy? Whoever this loser is.

Meh, wouldn't waste your energy mate.

What? Did you read what I asked?
You asked why this new Korean character puppet has gained so much attention (I'll have to take your word for it btw) from a 'conservative' mind set, like all the worlds conservatives are pushing some sort of disingenuous narrative, to that I don't know the answer.

What I do know is there is a lot of attention on here around the supposed attention.

I'm asking what the big deal is, seems there are a few here investing a lot of energy yelling at clouds (conservatives).

Anyway whatever floats the boat I guess, carry on.

Yeah not to some obviously, I find it comical that it has so much attention.
So do I.

But that's US conservatives for you. Opposing infrastructure funding, because you know Biden, socialism, etc, while focussing on the big issues, you know Sesame Street, Big Bird, Dr Seuss, etc.

And the stupid and the gullible lap it up.

My brother who lives in the US considers Ben Shapiro to be a silver-tongued master of trolling whom he wishes he was half a good of a speaker as. Should I be worried? Haha. Ben's highly educated and well-read, yes, but from what I understand, he picks easy targets in most of his debates and gish gallops and strawman's his opponents. When he's questioned well rather than debated, his worldview, seemingly to me, begins to fall apart. But I think many people just go along with what their friends/family/community believes and that's that.

But could you imagine any objective person watching this and thinking Ben didn't get owned?

He looked like he was going to cry when Joe Rogan debated him. But other than that he's a very strong debater really, even when he was on BBC talking about gun control he talks really quickly and he puts a bit of humour in as well. Whether it's dishonest or not it's hard to tell at times but he's at least a very good speaker. I doubt he would fear that other guy.

He lost the plot when Neill started on abortion.

But I'm not a fan of this interview technique of digging up old tweets either.

Steven Crowder is an intellectually dishonest hack who goes on about the culture wars and has nothing of value to say regarding issues that impact people's lives regarding climate, wages, infrastructure, etc. Doesn't support unions or working-class Americans in any meaningful capacity whatsoever. His commentary is shallow and a guy like Seder who digs deep into policy analysis would tear him to shreds. He was crapping his pants. Another thing about Crowder, copied and pasted comment but:

"At some union protest, Crowder pushed a guy twice his age and took a haymaker to the face. He then deceptively edited the footage to make himself look like the victim instead of the perpetrator. When the unedited footage came out, all charges against the guy who punched him were dropped. He's a little coward, and he's always been a little coward."

Guy is a scumbag, and got smoked by some college kid on "socialism" and triggered. The guy cannot even admit America's political system has a major problem with bribery and corruption from the ruling class.

Yeah I'm not a fan just saying he can normally handle himself in an argument,.
